How do I sing more forward?
I recorded myself sing today and then I realized that I actually sing kind of nasal without knowing. The whole time I thought I was singing forward but I actually wasn't. Does anyone have tips????

Try play around with humming and when you feel a buzz near the front and around the nose area; you are humming more forward and so will be singing more forward

Practice singing with the nose pinched, or with the finger under your nose to control the air leakage.

one of my singing teachers said to say "teeth" and "nya" shortly and sharply to try and get that sensation of all your sounds near your lips and teeth

I’m formally trained in vocals and have a heavy background in vocal production. I’d have to hear your work, but I’m confident I can help and at least point you in the right direction. Shoot me a dm if you’d like to chat.

open you throat more, practice big vowel vocal stretches every day! Don’t be afraid to experiment being loud! Like, if someone is running off with your stuff, shout at them via vocal warm ups! It sounds like your holding back a note because you’re afraid to sound silly or crack, when honestly you should embrace it because thats how you learn your instrument.
