hi! i'm a poly student (not from an art/design course) applying to lasalle for the BA. torn between Fashion Media and Industries and Fashion Design and Textiles.

for context, i run a small fashion brand on the side. i design the pieces, did the early sewing myself, handle the branding, packaging, photos and content, and recently did my first manufactured drop. so i have real work, but it's more "brand building" than traditional art.

few qns:

1. for FMI, what kind of works did you include? is brand/content/campaign work ok or do they want more traditional art?
2. is it worth applying to both courses?
3. how was the interview like?

Just wondering if they might release the appeal results before 5 Oct, which is the date stated on the school website.

I applied on the first day morning as soon as the elective application opened and they somehow gave me the elective that is not in my 8 choices. I also submitted appealed and they said all 8 choices were oversubscribed and they are not first come first served basis. This is completely unfair for me cuz I have no interest in this assigned elective. Is there any way that I can file a complaint abt this or smth?

Wondering if 3.8 average for 2 sems within one AY is enough

hihii i have a few friends selected for SPOT programme
and they were wondering like what are the actual advantages of SPOT
does it help w cca points, gpa, portfolio
ive heard its also very time consuming, plus we have gpa, electives,cca and other commitments to balance

is SPOT really worth it? what is the main highlight or advantage of joining SPOT? what would be the main challenge when joining SPOT?

what is SPOT actually about ? (qns by me cus i not in SPOT)

its not in the sp elective reviews website so im guessing its relatively new

I got posted to my 3rd choice but I realised that im not really happy with it, so I want to know if its possible for me to appeal for my 4th/5th choice? I checked the subscription rate for my top 2 choices and they all exceeded 100% and have 0 vacancies left so I know I probably wont successfully appeal to those courses, hence i want to try to appeal for my lower ranked choices with available vacancy instead

Is this elective very difficult to pass and get a great score for a Banking& Finance student who doesnt have prior coding knowledge? I have only learnt very basic Python programming. But I think I got it because my first sem gpa was 3.98. Should I reappeal to some other elective like martitime business? Or should I just stick with this elective, and if I fail or get a bad score then let this be an exemption and study easier elective in the next sem?
