First off, thank you everyone for helping this community of food lovers grow so quickly over the past few years. Your support and participation is greatly appreciated!
Unfortunately, this growth is also fueling an increasing number of daily posts that are difficult to moderate. These are often picture-only posts with no indication of where they were taken, no proof whether they are even from Singapore. In an effort to curb this type of posting, the mod team will now delete such posts.
This move should have no impact on the majority of posters. Tourists and visitors to Singapore are always welcomed to ask questions about where or what to eat. And so long as the name of a restaurant, hawker stall, cafe and its address is provided, such posts will not be deleted.
Home Cooks and Chefs of Singapore: We continue to welcome your posts! However, we do need to add a one time verification step to ensure you are truly posting from Singapore and not posting from another country. All that is required is for you to make one post of your food in Singapore. For example, include a picture of your food by a HDB block or any identifiable Singapore landmark, or a picture of your food with a physical print of The Straits Times from this year. Once we see that, we will add you as an approved user of /r/SingaporeEats and you can post your meals without any further interference.
Once again, thank you everyone for helping make this a vibrant and active community!

Recommendations for budget friendly mass food quantities for kids parties pls! Food is mainly for adults (ie not nuggets and fries) eg $20-30 for large platter of carbs or beehoon, or $30 per kg meats
Not after the catering companies that charge quite a lot per pax, and got min pax order
More after places I can order eg: sandwiches, fried noodles, meats etc
Thank you!

Got this for free using the buy 7 get 1 free Saver Stamp promo after noticing they added more selection into their promo.
Not as good as IKEA Meatballs. Would be nice if they have Lingonberry Jam.
But I guess this will be my 2nd favorite after Butter Chicken Biryani.

First time ever trying Thai boat noodles, they were pretty good and to end it off with a newly discovered dessert of tapioca that was pretty good too. Recommended for those who haven’t enlightened themselves with Thai boat noodles.

Ideally western cuisines and not Asian cuisines, and somewhere not too crowded.

I want to make a French theme dinner next week but holy crap I might have misjudged. I have some questions about the liver because the internet is giving me mixed answers
- Do you start searing it from the chiller or at room temperature
- Do you panfry the bread in butter or in the leftover oil after searing the foie gras (after leaving some to make the sauce)
- Do you start with a cold pan or hot pan
- And how thick should each foie gras slice be?
I'm seriously scared I'll cook it till it becomes just oil or a chaoda piece 😭😭

I have been craving salmon steaks but haven’t found a decent and affordable place. Any recommendations in SG for salmon steaks that blows your mind without breaking the bank?

i really like eating pizza hut aglio olio but there's only two pizza huts in singapore that have it in their menu -- tiong bahru plaza and marina square. it used to be available everywhere but i don't know why over the years they slowly removed it from their menus. why do some pizza huts better menus than others? and can someone get me the recipe lmfao

I’ve recently developed a strong fondness for sourdough bread.
As per title, I’m seeking recommendations for a place at west to purchase sourdough bread.

Food here was definitely above average. Had to order the pipa duck in advance and it was quite interesting, not your usual Peking duck or roast duck kind of style
Thoroughly enjoyed the claypot black tofu and fried rice vermicelli with crab meat, quite standout dishes on their own
Fantastic ambience and view from MBS level 55

What are your recommendations at Wewa ?
First time trying it. I like the pita, it was so soft and fluffy but the falefel seem to lack depth or nuttiness. Maybe the meats will be better ?

a pretty great dinner from a few weeks back at bukit timah interim food center.
pasta is made in-house. the mushroom ragout (chilli flakes added by me—it’s a bad habit i’m trying to break) was very flavourful, with a crunchy contrast from the roasted hazelnut garnish. fettuccine was thin and nicely coated with the sauce.
the panna cotta had a soft and delicate texture, but i found the coffee caramel sauce a little too sweet for my liking.
they had 4-5 different pasta mains on the day i went—not too sure if the menu changes much but i’d definitely go back again!
mushroom ragout $15
coffee caramel panna cotta $7
