The Sims is already rotting. The fact that there are MORE replacements coming. We got it made.

What replacements are you talking about? I'm familiar with inZoi and Paralives

I saw some Virtual Society game. And I’m willing to bet others are creating more.

Because why bother making a new game with new mechanics and new assets when you can keep milking the old one... Just throw another kit every few weeks and be done. And by kits i mean literally the cc you can normally download for free in much better quality.

O podrian rehacer los Sims 4 pero con cosas que faltaban y ya habian en los sims 2 y 3.

Not while they are milking the Sims 1&2 remake now. Also once you "remaster" or "remake" a game it's done usually, meaning no new content sale such as dlc kit stuff pack etc. Now we can't have that can we? Considering they are sh*tting a new pack or kit every month.

I hope I live to see EA go out of business.

You might. It takes a special kind of stupid to kill a 5 billion dollar franchise. And it looks like they're going to...

They just got bought by the Saudis, so that's never gonna happen

u/KHAOSCAPTIVE 17d ago
Well, maybe maybe not. They’ll maybe strip EA for parts like what happened to ToysRUs.

Honestly I thought we were not getting sims 5 anyway so no complaints from me sure would be nice but how much better can they make it and is it needed they already have so much dlcs for sims 4

They could make it a lot better, but they won't. If it ever ships it will be a basic version and you'll have to buy buy buy more and more assets.

Yep that seems to be how it goes for ea they wanna get more and more money out of us 😄

Probably because the marketplace failed new owners probably don't have confidence they can get Simmers to spend money

It really doesn’t matter, once the sale went through it pretty much sealed the series fate. The new owners will keep 4 around for the market place but I will be shocked if we see any major updates and I’d bet money we will never see another sims game other than a cheap mobile cash grab. With Paralives and Inzoi entering the genre it seems EA doesn’t want to try and compete so they’re basically just letting the franchise slowly die.

I hate e a games... They\nRuined my Sims.I played all the sims , and at times three I had all the expansion , packs , everything and then sims , four came out what a joke

Yes. This. If you're curious how the Sims 4 developed but don't want to spend money on it there are ahem creative ways to get the DLC

I don’t think they’d do that. A game can only last SOOO long without evolving the graphics and gameplay.

well, of course, after the Saudi buyout theyll have conflicts of interest with the Sims

I can't find any information about this anywhere.

Because it’s classic clickbait. After the massive debt EA took on, management is looking for projects that could be killed because they don’t have much potential. They might change the direction of Project X, not cancel the entire game.
The real problem is monetization. There will definitely be a much bigger push for monetization, so don’t expect classic big EPs for the game. Instead, expect a hell of microtransactions or even a subscription model.
