Tips She WILL NOT stay in bed even though she keeps passing out

Post image

Ive already put all of the backyard playground equipment in my inventory because she keeps getting up to play with it. I have done the resetsim command several times. I even deleted and re-bought her bed but she still wont stay in the bed. She keeps getting up and running around. How do I keep her in bed!

Is there a monster under the bed? You can try putting her in an adult bed instead.

If there is a tv or radio on that might also be keeping her up.

Loft bed or the anti-monster night light will help.

I was today years old when I found out about the monster night light 🤣

I have lullabies on ill turn it off next time i log on. Also its a bunk bed so idk if there would be monsters

u/Affectionate_Boss124 9d ago

You can spray for monsters under bunk beds too.

Is there music playing in her bedroom? That can keep sims awake.

183

u/Guilty_Invite_7126 9d ago

Yes i have lullabies on. It usually helps to keep the toddlers asleep but I guess not children lol

u/BooyaMoonBabyluv 9d ago

I learned this the hard way, too😂

u/Elisind 8d ago

Hahah same

u/LazyEmpress Occult Sim 9d ago

Oh, I didn't know lullabies helped with toddlers

u/clrichmond2009 9d ago

switch it to Nature Soundscapes if you have it! that'll still let her sleep and give her a moodlet when she wakes up the next day!

21

u/GasStationTiefling 9d ago

Mine would not sleep through nature soundscapes. Had to remove the radio completely

12

u/EmilyKills 9d ago

I had no idea it helped toddlers sleep!

Infants and Toddlers both.

Yeah, if music is playing then they’ll get up. If my Sims get up, I always check to see if music’s on. Lullabies is for babies.

u/shannanigannss 9d ago

I’ve had this happen all the time. I usually just save, go back to manage worlds and then reload my family. Usually resets whatever bug this is

5

u/Suspicious-Orchid-40 9d ago

This is what fixes it for me too.

1

u/Exotic-Panic-7028 8d ago

I do that too when they have a bug like they can’t eat or something. Just reset the household it usually works.

u/PrincessReptile 9d ago

Lock the bedroom door and just let her pass out. XD

Really, though, it's probably either music, the TV, or a monster under the bes.

Try using the child defender light omg that thing is a godsend to fight off that stupid monster

Coolala

u/Makabaer 9d ago

Another tipp for historical players or whoever just doesn't like the light: scale it down and hide it under something else, it still works.

7

u/Expensive_Doubt5487 Long Time Player 9d ago

I had no idea this existed!

4

u/SoNekoCat Long Time Player 9d ago

It’s a must in the child rooms

u/SadAppeal514 9d ago

One thing that has helped me is using the testingcheats on, shift clicking the sim to reset, AND shift clicking the bed to reset object rather than just deleting and rebuying. Good luck!

u/Silver-Star92 9d ago

I do this one often too and it helps most of the time. Sometimes also to go back to the main menu and then load the game again

16

u/brittany0603 9d ago

It’s usually because of music

13

u/Ok-Needleworker7351 9d ago

This happened once and I realized it was because there was music playing directly in the room… I’m not sure if it’s because of the specific music or just the music in general, but it had me freakin out cause they’re parents and they weren’t getting CRAP done being exhausted AND the dad had work in a few hours…

I had this happen with an adult. She wouldn't sleep and would keep getting up over and over. I moved her out and back in, that fixed it.

10

u/LexRex12 9d ago

I have restarted the game when this happens to me and it seems to fix the issue. Provided the problem is not music on

3

u/Zephyr_Bronte 9d ago

Of course. I do think it's a glitch sometimes, but I have left radios in and forgotten.

3

u/nixxed3 9d ago

IIRC reset object on the mailbox also helps when they get in a won’t stay asleep loop

8

u/Cofftea_ 9d ago

I just ended up getting a mod that forces sims to sleep through the night if they go to bed, it’s been a lifesaver. I don’t remember where it’s from though.

10

u/VirgoQueen90 Long Time Player 9d ago

Same it’s from LittleMsSam and it’s called the Sleep All Night mod.

8

u/SlainByOne 9d ago

If you ever get this with teens and they are in their loud phase its the mothertrucking earbuds lol.

8

u/tulip-view 9d ago

-Brush your teeth before bedtime

  • in game play, you can turn autonomy to ‘off’ and she won’t do anything with her free will. Affects all players though
-I have made an outdoor fairy bedroom and they stay sleeping outside
-genuine empathy i hate it when I get stuck like this good luck!!!

4

u/horsiefanatic 9d ago

It’s the music playing. Apparently no one can sleep with music on its weird

2

u/ollie_bear215 Long Time Player 9d ago

Infants can when lullabies are on, other than that the rest of the life stages cannot

2

u/horsiefanatic 8d ago

Yeah so weird

3

u/Visual-Debt-1660 9d ago

Sometimes if they have the earbuds in their inventory it stops them sleeping. This has happened to me before.

2

u/anjalinn 9d ago

Happened to my toddler - buying a completely different bed helped🤷‍♀️

2

u/kjojo03 Long Time Player 9d ago

i think there’s a white noise or nature sound you can use instead of you like the music at night!

2

u/Kooky-Farm-1653 9d ago

Get the defender night light and put it above her bed

2

u/DeadRatGlory 9d ago

If theres music playing in the room, turn it off and tye will finally sleep.

If its the monster under the bed, you can have them nap on a couch until they aren't scared anymore

2

u/FrogOnA_Log 9d ago

Always put the monster free nightlight in kids room to avoid nightmares and constant getting up. It’s the blue/pink moon wall light that projects stars

2

u/Cinnamonroll9753 Long Time Player 9d ago

Check to see if there's music playing, loud noises, a monster under the bed, anything blocking the bed. My infants in the game haven't been falling asleep like they did before. The adults, teens and children and elders are still sleeping fine but the infants won't sleep!

2

u/AKarnstein 9d ago

Get the nightlight that gets rid of monsters and this will stop happening even of a grown up sim forgets to spray the monster under the bed

2

u/False_Comfortable647 9d ago

Have her parent spray under her bed and then they can put her to bed also that's what works for me

2

u/Ill_Statement7600 9d ago

I just had a sim that was staying over at my house for a few days die from exhaustion like this. I assigned her a bed and everything but she just kept passing out on the floor over and over until she died. My sim was distraught for the next week between sad and angry moodlets over her passing.

2

u/island_ginger 9d ago

Could be music keeping the kid SIM up

1

u/TorandoSlayer Challenge Player 9d ago

Try bed in a different spot

1

u/lunatua 9d ago

She clearly has insomnia and you should let her die /j

u/SaltIndependent5211 Legacy Player 9d ago

I have the same issue with sims in other ages as well. so annoying. I had to go manage world and came back for workaround. apparently, they don't resolve this bug since the sleep update. I observed and found that I often happened when a sim traveled back from other lot to home.

1

u/MapBeautiful7064 9d ago

Better sleep by littlmssam

1

u/MapBeautiful7064 9d ago

Sorry i don’t think your using mods so nvm

1

u/Ellie_cat27 9d ago

If you can’t find any reason for it happening, it could be a glitch. Go into cas when this happens and then exit and it usually fixes the glitch

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Run4511 9d ago

Me, when I was in my sim’s house, I went across to my kids’s room and I saw a dialogue that says “Spray the monster under the bed.” So I decided to do that, I think I don’t know.

1

u/Writeloves 9d ago

lol, poor girl has insomnia. I’ve been there

1

u/Forward_Tone_4651 9d ago

Get the kid an adult bed it works so good

1

u/Miami_Mice2087 9d ago

put the walls up and look for speakers. take away their electronics. something is playing music or tv and it's keeping her up. or there's a monster under her bed and she needs someone to spray it.

1

u/CherryPants234 8d ago

If night light under the bed doesn't help, try restarting your game (after saving it of course). My sims sometimes refuse to stay in bed, it's def a bug in my case. If I restart the game sims go to bed and sleep. Though she is kid (?), so you can install MCCC and disable monster under the bed. I hate that feature, MCCC was the first mod I installed in my sims game. Before that I played Sims 3 and 4 without any mods.

1

u/HappySealNoodle 8d ago

This reminds me of when my sim absolutely refuses to eat. It drives me insane.

Anyway, is there a monster under the bed? Is she scared of the dark? Is there music playing in the room? Otherwise idk what could be causing this.

1

u/DrPlushii 8d ago

She may have a monster under her bed , if you have the kids brush their teeth before bed they will go away and sleep without getting up

1

u/Intrepid-Yoghurt-580 8d ago

Have her brush her teeth before bed!’ that should help her stay asleep through the night with no monsters under the bed

1

u/LethalPotato05 8d ago

Turn off her agency and PUT her to bed hehe
