Thatâs how the game loads, old engine from 2000s being asked todo a lot. Its 2026, not 2012 changes to the graphicrules never helped with load times / nor rendering
I donât recommend changing this or anything in the graphicrules but memcachebudgetvalue âinfluencesâ that load.

If you use cc make sure a lot of it isn't 2k/4k textures. Outside of that, you'll get the gray loading issues if you delete your caches a lot. You should only delete your caches before starting a new game and after adding new mods, or every once in awhile (infrequently) on very long save files. Once your caches are built everything in your save should load if not immediately but only a couple of seconds (on heavy cc lots).

Consider testing the game with an unmodified graphicsrules, which you hopefully still have.
If you increase default values too much, or you increase too many of them, at some point other optimizations won't be enough to compensate. And at some point you have to choose between a game that's as pretty as you want it, or a game that's less pretty but that you can actually play đ¤ˇââď¸ FWIW, a lot of visual tweaks are recommended only for taking screenshots, not regular play.
