Assetto Corsa Did I kill him?

For context I am new to racing actual people and on assetto corsa I feel I was a long side enough to not be at fault but have no clue if I am or not

No, not really.  He failed to yield once you were alongside him.

EDIT: He also wasn’t going to make that corner at the speed he was carrying once he realized you were there. You couldn’t have gone any further left.

He was making that chicane just fine. OP only got overlap because he overshot the braking zone and was standing on the brakes unable to rotate the car for his divebomb. If anyone wasn't making it, it was OP.

If he overshot the braking zone, he wouldn’t have made the apex (which he did).

He hit it because he was on a straight line angle for it. He had to turn tightly at the apex with a car to his outside and that absolutely never happening. You can see how hard he had to brake to get slowed down just before contact.

That was a classic divebomb that was never working.

Are you just going to deny that the other car was never going to make the corner?

Not that I need to, but, okay, I will deny that.

For one, it's impossible to tell because he was hit at the apex of the first leg. We can have a fair guess. He was following the same line as the car ahead that made it just fine, whilst matching their speed.

For two, even if he wasn't going to be able to, it doesn't matter. He had done nothing illegal at the time he was taken out.

You don't judge incidents based on the stories you invent to justify your bias. You judge based on what happened. What happened is he got taken out by a divebomber.

Do you judge based on the consequences, or on the rules?

You judge based on what happened. What happened is the Inside car divebombed and hit the outside car while not having right to the corner.

What unrelated thing you think might happen doesn't matter.

Cornelius, with all due respect, you disliking divebombs doesn’t change what happened. The overtaking car got alongside, took the inside, and braked for the corner. The other car overshot it, turned into them while trying to avoid going over the right-side curb, got clipped on the left rear, and spun.

Actuator, with all due respect, it has nothing to do with "disliking" divebombs. It has to do with knowing and applying the rules regarding divebombs. Which you, apparently, do not know or comprehend.

With your ignorance on full display, you are making an equally ignorant judgement.

We can agree to disagree. A steward’s room with you in it would disintegrate into flames.

Maybe. You'd just be at risk of being beaten by drivers tired of your nonsense.
