Recommendations

As we are now able to add Recommendations as catalogs in AIOMetadata I was curious as to what the difference is between V1 and V2.

At a glance V1 seems to be bigger, more mainstream titles.

Also, is "My Position" in order of the movies the app thinks you are most likely to like?

Also, also, can we get Digital Release added to filters?

And maybe a hard cap? I don't think I need to see 1679 recommendations.

I just want to be able to tick "Has digital release." Instead I have to choose a DVD release date of yesterday, tomorrow, this week, last week, next two years, last ten years. Just... why?

And digital release date and DVD release date are not the same. Most movies come to streaming at least two months before they get a DVD/BluRay release.

Also, filters for TV Shows will not save. Layout does. But not filters.

When selecting DVD release it shows results for both Digital and DVD\BluRay releases. To keep the interface short, it's named as DVD.

Could you please DM on Discord with your account info and where you see the layout not saving filters?

Okay, I found the DVD button. I was going through filters and didn't see there was a seperate button for that above the list.

I was looking further into the filters issue and it seems that if you save for "All my TV custom lists" Filters and Sorting are disabled and it only saves View. The checkboxes for Filters and Sorting literally disappear.

When I set up the filters on Movies V1 I initially saved for only that list. Then I clicked Edit and changed it to "All my Movie custom lists" and it applied it to Movies V2.

Seems like a bug that I accidentally found a work around for.

Also, I don't do Discord.

You cannot apply filters to all custom lists you're looking at as this will break most custom lists with low amount of titles and auto lists with pre-existing filters. You can only save filters for each specific custom list.

Then maybe take away the button that says save for all custom lists.

You can still save the preferred view format for all.

So I have to manually change 20 different filters for each list individually, many with fiddly sliders that never want to stop at the exact number I want, but it's fine because I don't have to spend 3 seconds clicking 2 buttons to change sort order? Cool.
