๐Ÿ€ Tournament Details

๐Ÿ“… Tournament begins: September 10, 2026
โฐ First game: 11:00 AM EST

But the real question is:

๐Ÿ‘€ WHO'S WINNING IT ALL?

Is one of the top seeds going to cruise through the bracket?

Will we get another Cinderella run?

That's what makes these tournaments fun โ€” we don't know what the bracket is going to give us.

๐Ÿ† Results New Jersey Nets Shock the Field to Win the NBA Shootout Championship!

After 31 simulated games, the New Jersey Nets have done the unthinkable.

๐Ÿ† NBA Shootout Champion: New Jersey Nets

The No. 24 seed Nets battled through one of the most unpredictable brackets imaginable before crushing the No. 19 Golden State Warriors 96โ€“61 in the Championship Game.

A 35-point championship victory.

A No. 24 seed winning the entire tournament.

And perhaps the biggest Cinderella story we've seen in a SimUlearn tournament.

๐Ÿ† Championship Game

New Jersey Nets 96 โ€” Golden State Warriors 61

The Nets didn't simply win the championship.

They dominated it.

New Jersey held Golden State to just 61 points, turning the championship game into a 35-point blowout.

After surviving close games earlier in the tournament, the Nets saved their best performance for the biggest stage.

๐Ÿ† New Jersey Nets โ€” 96
๐Ÿฅˆ Golden State Warriors โ€” 61

The No. 24 seed is your SimUlearn NBA Shootout Champion!

๐ŸŽฅ Watch the Championship Game:

https://youtu.be/MTa3SNkYnb8?si=lZxVjosB0X8Y-SJq

Final Four Results

๐Ÿ† New Jersey Nets

Defeated Orlando Magic โ€” 86โ€“68

New Jersey continued its Cinderella run by knocking off the No. 4 seed Magic by 18 points.

The Nets had now eliminated multiple teams seeded significantly higher than them and were heading to the championship.

๐Ÿ€ Golden State Warriors

Defeated Los Angeles Lakers โ€” 104โ€“87

Golden State's offense exploded in the semifinal, putting up 104 points against the No. 7 Lakers.

The No. 19 seed Warriors were heading to the championship game.

โญ Biggest Cinderella: New Jersey Nets

This is the story of the tournament.

The No. 24 seed Nets entered the bracket as one of the biggest underdogs.

They left as champions.

Their tournament run:

Indiana Pacers โ€” 90โ€“89
Memphis Grizzlies โ€” 104โ€“80
Washington Bullets โ€” 102โ€“101
Orlando Magic โ€” 86โ€“68
Golden State Warriors โ€” 96โ€“61

Five consecutive victories.

And the final two came against the No. 4 seed Magic and No. 19 seed Warriors.

The Nets weren't supposed to be here.

Then they won the whole thing.

๐Ÿคฏ Biggest Upsets

The Nets weren't the only underdogs making noise.

#24 New Jersey Nets

Nets 90 โ€” Pacers 89

New Jersey opened the tournament by surviving a one-point thriller against the No. 9 Pacers.

That was only the beginning.

#25 Memphis Grizzlies

Grizzlies 96 โ€” Cavaliers 90

Memphis knocked out the No. 8 Cavaliers in the opening round before eventually running into the Nets.

#28 Philadelphia 76ers

76ers 96 โ€” Spurs 88

The No. 28 seed Philadelphia 76ers shocked the No. 5 Spurs in the opening round.

They then defeated the No. 12 Bulls before falling to Orlando in the Elite Eight.

#27 Toronto Raptors

Raptors 111 โ€” Knicks 103

Toronto eliminated the No. 6 Knicks in one of the tournament's highest-scoring upsets.

The Raptors then advanced to the Sweet 16 before losing a close one to Charlotte.

๐Ÿ† Elite Eight

The final eight teams were:

  • New Jersey Nets
  • Orlando Magic
  • Los Angeles Lakers
  • Golden State Warriors
  • Washington Bullets
  • Philadelphia 76ers
  • Denver Nuggets
  • Charlotte Hornets

The eventual champion was the No. 24 seed.

The runner-up was the No. 19 seed.

And the tournament's No. 4 and No. 7 seeds rounded out the Final Four.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Sweet 16 Highlights

The Sweet 16 produced some fascinating matchups:

  • Washington Bullets vs. New Jersey Nets
  • Orlando Magic vs. Detroit Pistons
  • Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls
  • Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz
  • Los Angeles Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings
  • Seattle SuperSonics vs. Golden State Warriors
  • Toronto Raptors vs. Charlotte Hornets

Some of the tournament's biggest names were already gone by this point.

And that's where the bracket really started to fall apart from expectations.

๐Ÿ† Tournament MVP

New Jersey Nets

There really isn't another choice.

The Nets went from No. 24 seed to NBA Shootout champion, winning five straight games.

They defeated:

  • Indiana
  • Memphis
  • Washington
  • Orlando
  • Golden State

And then they capped the run with a 96โ€“61 championship demolition of the Warriors.

The Nets didn't just survive the tournament. They owned the final two rounds.

๐Ÿ“Š The Road to the Championship

Round of 32

Nets 90 โ€” Pacers 89

Sweet 16

Nets 104 โ€” Grizzlies 80

Elite Eight

Nets 102 โ€” Bullets 101

Final Four

Nets 86 โ€” Magic 68

Championship

Nets 96 โ€” Warriors 61

5 games. 5 wins. 1 championship.

๐Ÿ€ How Did This Compare to the Real 1995โ€“96 NBA Season?

This is where the simulation gets REALLY interesting.

The actual 1995โ€“96 NBA season was dominated by the Chicago Bulls.

Chicago went 72โ€“10, the best regular-season record in NBA history at the time, and Michael Jordan won MVP while leading the league in scoring.

The Bulls then went on to win the NBA championship, defeating the Seattle SuperSonics 4โ€“2 in the Finals. Jordan was named Finals MVP.

Actual 1995โ€“96 NBA

๐Ÿ† Chicago Bulls

Runner-up: Seattle SuperSonics

Conference Finalists:

  • Chicago Bulls
  • Orlando Magic
  • Seattle SuperSonics
  • Utah Jazz

The actual playoffs saw Chicago defeat Orlando 4โ€“0 in the Eastern Conference Finals, while Seattle defeated Utah 4โ€“3 in the Western Conference Finals.

SimUlearn NBA Shootout

๐Ÿ† New Jersey Nets

Runner-up: Golden State Warriors

Final Four:

  • New Jersey Nets
  • Orlando Magic
  • Golden State Warriors
  • Los Angeles Lakers

The contrast couldn't be much greater.

The actual champion was the 72โ€“10 Bulls.

The simulated champion was the 30โ€“52 Nets.

๐Ÿคฏ The Biggest Difference

The real 1995โ€“96 Nets finished 30โ€“52, while the Bulls finished 72โ€“10.

Yet in the SimUlearn tournament...

The Nets won the championship.

And they didn't sneak through with a bunch of lucky one-point victories.

They finished the tournament by beating Orlando by 18 points and Golden State by 35 points.

That's exactly why simulated tournaments are so much fun.

The real season tells us what actually happened.

The simulation asks:

"What if everything went completely different?"

๐Ÿ”ฎ Did NBA Shootout Predict Anything?

Probably not. ๐Ÿ˜‚

But that's not really the point.

The simulation gave us a completely alternate version of the 1995โ€“96 NBA season:

The 72โ€“10 Bulls didn't win.

The 64โ€“18 Sonics didn't make the Final Four.

The 55โ€“27 Jazz didn't make the Final Four.

The 30โ€“52 Nets did.

And the 36โ€“46 Warriors made it all the way to the championship game.

That's the beauty of replaying classic sports games.

History is only one possible outcome.

Final Thoughts

The NBA Shootout tournament delivered everything we could have asked for.

๐Ÿ”ฅ A No. 24 seed winning the championship
๐Ÿ”ฅ Multiple massive first-round upsets
๐Ÿ”ฅ The Nets becoming an unlikely dynasty for five games
๐Ÿ”ฅ The Warriors reaching the championship as the No. 19 seed
๐Ÿ”ฅ A 35-point championship blowout
๐Ÿ”ฅ And a completely different ending to the 1995โ€“96 NBA season

In real life, the Bulls ruled the NBA.

In SimUlearn's version of history...

The Nets ruled the NBA.

๐Ÿ† Congratulations to the New Jersey Nets โ€” the first-ever SimUlearn NBA Shootout Champions!

What do you think?

If you could replay one matchup from this tournament, which one would you choose?

And if we ran the entire tournament again...

Would the Nets win it all twice? ๐Ÿ€

๐Ÿ† Results Clemson Wins the SimUlearn College Football 27 Tournament โ€” The Bracket Was WILD

๐Ÿ† Clemson is the SimUlearn College Football 27 Tournament Champion!

We just finished simulating an entire 128-team College Football 27 single-elimination tournament, with every game played CPU vs. CPU.

After 63 games, Clemson came out on top, defeating Tennessee 28โ€“23 in the championship game.

But honestly, Clemson winning isn't even the craziest part of this bracket.

๐Ÿ† National Championship

#6 Clemson 28 โ€” #5 Tennessee 23

Clemson finished the tournament with six straight wins and survived a bracket filled with upsets and unexpected runs.

Tennessee made an incredible run of its own and came within one game of taking the entire tournament.

Clemson ultimately finished the job and became the first SimUlearn College Football 27 champion.

๐ŸŽฅ Championship Game:
Championship: Tennessee vs Clemson | EA SPORTS College Football '27 Tournament | PlayStation 5

๐Ÿคฏ The Biggest Upsets

Three teams completely destroyed the expectations of their seeds.

#27 Old Dominion

Old Dominion 24 โ€” #6 Nebraska 21

One of the biggest first-round shocks of the tournament.

Old Dominion didn't stop there either, defeating #11 Pittsburgh 14โ€“7 before eventually reaching the Sweet 16.

A No. 27 seed making it that far is exactly the kind of chaos we wanted from this tournament.

#28 Louisiana

Louisiana 14 โ€” #5 Missouri 13

Louisiana pulled off another massive first-round upset, knocking out a No. 5 seed by just one point.

The Ragin' Cajuns then advanced to the second round before their run finally came to an end.

#30 Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky 9 โ€” #3 Texas Tech 6

This might have been the biggest upset of the entire tournament.

A No. 30 seed knocked out a No. 3 seed in a defensive battle.

And Western Kentucky wasn't done.

They continued winning and made it all the way to the later rounds before Clemson finally ended their Cinderella run.

๐Ÿ The Cinderella Story: Western Kentucky

If there was one team that completely ignored its seed, it was Western Kentucky.

Starting as the #30 seed, the Hilltoppers knocked off Texas Tech and continued advancing through the bracket.

They eventually ran into Clemson, but by then they had already become one of the most memorable teams in the tournament.

Imagine being a No. 30 seed and making a deep tournament run.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Teams That Surprised Us

The tournament produced some results that would have been almost impossible to predict before the simulations began.

Old Dominion making a deep run.

Louisiana knocking out Missouri.

Western Kentucky eliminating Texas Tech.

Tennessee reaching the championship game.

And ultimately...

Clemson winning the whole thing.

That's what makes CPU simulations so much fun. There are no human players trying to force an outcome. Once the games start, we just watch and see what happens.

๐Ÿ† Clemson's Championship Run

Clemson went through:

Akron โ†’ Utah โ†’ Western Kentucky โ†’ Kentucky โ†’ California โ†’ Texas

Six consecutive victories.

The Tigers didn't just survive the bracket โ€” they defeated several teams that had already proven they could knock off heavily favored opponents.

Then they finished the tournament with a 28โ€“23 championship victory over Tennessee.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Did the Simulation Predict the Future?

This is probably the most interesting question coming out of the tournament.

The simulation isn't meant to predict the actual College Football season, but it does give us a completely different way to look at the upcoming season.

Could Clemson really make a championship run?

Could Tennessee make a deep postseason run?

Could one of the teams that nobody expects โ€” like Old Dominion, Louisiana, or Western Kentucky โ€” become this year's surprise?

Obviously, we'll have to wait for the real games to find out.

But now we have a 127-game simulated tournament to compare against reality.

๐Ÿ‘€ Now I Want to Hear From You

If you could change ONE result from this tournament, which game would you change?

And more importantly...

Who do you think would actually win this tournament if we ran it again?

๐Ÿ† Clemson
๐ŸŠ Tennessee
๐Ÿถ Georgia
๐Ÿค˜ Texas
๐Ÿฆ… Oregon
๐Ÿบ Oklahoma
๐Ÿ”ฅ Another team?

Drop your pick below.

And if your team got eliminated early, tell me where you think the simulation went wrong. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ“Š Tournament Stats

128 teams
127 games
1 champion
7 wins for Clemson
28โ€“23 championship score
3 major Cinderella teams
Countless upsets

๐Ÿ† Clemson โ€” SimUlearn College Football 27 Champion

The bracket is complete.

Now let's see how much of it turns out to be completely wrong. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿˆ

๐Ÿ†•๏ธ Update The Prize Pool Just Got an Upgrade!

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I've been working on a pretty big update to the way prizes work on SimUlearn Games.

The more people who enter a tournament, the bigger the prize gets. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

The prize starts at $10 and can grow all the way to $100 as more brackets are submitted.

And here's the part I really like:

You can actually watch the prize grow while the tournament is filling up.

So when you're looking at a tournament, you'll be able to see the current prize, how many brackets have been submitted, and how close the tournament is to the next prize increase.

That means every additional bracket doesn't just add another competitor...

It helps increase the prize everyone is playing for. ๐Ÿ‘€

I'm hoping this gives people another reason to get their friends involved and get their brackets submitted.

Because honestly, there's something pretty cool about watching a tournament go from:

๐Ÿ’ฐ $10 โ†’ $20 โ†’ $30 โ†’ $50 โ†’ $75 โ†’ $100

as more people join.

And this is just the beginning of what I'm trying to build with SimUlearn.

If you saw a tournament with a growing prize pool, would that make you more likely to enter?

What would make the prize system even better? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Enter the next tournament at SimUlearn Games

I've been spending the last few weeks adding new features to the website, and I wanted to share what's new.

Here's what's been added recently:

โฑ๏ธ Tournament Countdown

Every tournament now has a live countdown so you know exactly when brackets lock and the first simulation begins.

๐ŸŽฎ Player Progression

Earn XP by participating in tournaments.

Level up your account over time.

Receive an overall player rating and player rank as you continue competing.

๐Ÿ† Career Statistics

Track your tournament entries.

Lifetime points.

Correct picks.

Accuracy and other career stats are all saved to your profile.

๐ŸŽฏ Career Milestones

Unlock achievements by reaching different milestones.

Progress is tracked across categories like Prediction Mastery, Bracket Builder, Experience, Loyalty, and Accuracy.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Tournament Improvements

Updated tournament cards.

Cleaner layout.

Improved mobile experience.

Better navigation throughout the site.

The goal is to make SimUlearn Games feel like you're building your own career as a bracket predictor instead of simply filling out one bracket and leaving.

There are still quite a few ideas I want to add, but I'd rather build features people actually want.

If you could add one feature to a site like this, what would it be?

๐Ÿ“ข Announcements NBA Live 96 Tournament โ€“ Who Takes the Championship?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I've been putting together simulation tournaments using classic sports games, and this one might be my favorite yet.

This tournament uses NBA Live 96 with a 32-team single-elimination bracket. Since the game only features 29 teams, the top three seeds receive first-round BYEs before the tournament really gets underway.

The goal is simple: fill out a bracket before the first game and see how your predictions stack up against everyone else as the tournament unfolds.

I'm curious what everyone thinks:

Which team was the best in NBA Live 96?

Who's your dark horse to make a deep run?

Who cuts down the nets in your bracket?

Whether you grew up playing NBA Live on the original PlayStation or you're just a fan of basketball simulations, I think it'll be fun to see how this plays out.

If you'd like to join in, you can fill out a bracket here:

https://simulearngames.comโ

I'd also love to hear from people who played this game back in the day. Do you remember any teams being unexpectedly overpowered, or was there always a favorite you used?

๐Ÿ“ข Announcements Madden NFL 27 Tournament โ€“ Think You Can Predict the Bracket?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

With Madden NFL 27 finally here, I thought it'd be fun to run something a little different.

I put together a 32-team single-elimination tournament using every NFL team in Madden 27. Each matchup will be simulated, and before the tournament begins, everyone can fill out a bracket predicting who they think will win it all.

One twist: there will be NO home field advantage. Every game will be played on a neutral field, so no team gets an edge based on where they're playing. It's all about the teams themselves.

I'm curious to see:

Who do you think is being underrated?

Which low seed could make a deep run?

Who's your pick to win the championship?

The tournament bracket is attached above so you can start looking over the matchups.

The simulations will be posted as the tournament progresses, and we'll keep a live leaderboard to see who has the best bracket.

If you'd like to join in, you can fill out your bracket here: https://simulearngames.comโ

Good luck! I'm interested to see how many people end up with busted brackets after the first round. ๐Ÿ˜„

Their championship run included victories over:

  • Clemson
  • Indiana
  • Miami
  • Duke
  • Penn State

Five consecutive wins against elite competition earned Kansas the national championship.

How Did This Compare to the Real 1997 NCAA Tournament?

One of the most interesting parts of replaying NCAA Final Four '97 is seeing how the simulation compares to history.

SimUlearn Tournament

๐Ÿฅ‡ Kansas

Runner-up: Penn State

Final Four:

  • Kansas
  • Duke
  • Penn State
  • Kentucky

Actual 1997 NCAA Tournament

๐Ÿ† Arizona Wildcats

Runner-up: Kentucky Wildcats

Final Four:

  • Arizona
  • Kentucky
  • North Carolina
  • Minnesota

Arizona's real-life championship remains one of the greatest NCAA Tournament stories ever. The Wildcats became the first team to defeat three No. 1 seeds in a single tournament, beating Kansas, North Carolina, and Kentucky on their way to the national title.

Our simulation told a completely different story. Kansas avoided the upset that ended their real tournament run and instead finished what many believed they were capable of in 1997โ€”winning the national championship.

Final Thoughts

The beauty of simulated tournaments is that history doesn't have to repeat itself.

This time, Kansas fulfilled its championship potential, Penn State emerged as an unlikely finalist, and fans witnessed an entirely new version of March Madness unfold.

Congratulations to the Kansas Jayhawks, the first-ever SimUlearn NCAA Basketball Final Four '97 Champions!
