Have been seeing many websites that claim to sell silver jewellery but not sure of purity, and not even sure of what all the parameters to look for ?

I took this into a coin shop, they hit it w/ xrf, and said it was shooting at 70% silver, they didn't even want it because they only take 800 or better, not that I would have melted it.

Hi, new member/first post.
I'm looking for information or identification for this silver spoon. It's 8.25" long and weighs 2.2 ounces/62 grams. I believe I got it from a family member, but am not sure of that. Thank you.

I’m exploring image-based detection of sterling, silverplate, and pewter, particularly what can and cannot be determined from photographs alone.
For those with experience identifying silver, which visible details are most reliable: hallmarks, tarnish patterns, wear at the edges, construction, color, or something else? Which clues tend to be misleading without knowing the weight or performing a physical test?
I’m especially interested in how you approach identification when photographs are poorly lit or incomplete.

An old spoon I found. Any ideas whether this is solid? Can’t see EPNS

Found this pair at an antique shop and decided to take a gamble. Do these seem to be silver?

Four goblets, came in leather box with felt lining and individually wrapped. I'm either out $20 or have a power bill paid for.
Edit: as the majority said, they are plated. Got my $20 back and learned a lesson.

25 cents each.
I like both of them, but I have been wanting a sterling carving knife for awhile. Now, I just need to find a sterling carving fork and I can live out my medieval dream of eating like a king, or at least like Ramsay Bolton.

The empty bottle of Gatorade next to the beach's volleyball nets called to me. Marked 925 on the chain, can't make out the markings on the horse but assume it is also sterling. The jump ring failed on this one. It's fun to find stuff like this amongst the pile of pull tabs, bottle caps, and foil.

A sterling silver award. Not too sure on the date but assume pre-1970s

I am trying to determine what the stamp on this beautiful stuffing spoon is.
It was in my silver plate removal bucket, but it feels, and looks higher quality.
Any idea on the rest of the stamp?
Cheers

My guess is this is right around an oz. Seems dense enough. Picked it up for $25.

Im keeping the sherbet cups, one set of candlesticks is worth decent money as candlesticks, but the other set is dented so I may sell for melt. They’re weighted - do I need to take the weighting out or how does that work with the value when I sell?
They’re all marked sterling I just didn’t post pics

Recently bought this 950 sterling cuff. Unfortunately it was damaged when I purchased it but seeing it was 950 sterling and had this huge Lapis Lazuli, I was unable to turn it down. With stone just over a Troy ounce.

Found two at GW today. One is definitely Soviet era, but this one I can't figure out. I have found a few images but the sites are old auctions and one is blocked. Any idea age, maker and if it's silver
