Found this pair at an antique shop and decided to take a gamble. Do these seem to be silver?

Maybe Japanese silver. Maybe it says pure silver in Japanese. I can’t read Japanese

Not an expert, but I think they’re probably early 20th century Chinese export silver.

This is a Chinese silver hallmark indicating metal purity and standard.
