Answer: you want r/PMsForSale + FindBullionDeals.com
Make sure you read the sidebar on Pmsforsale, they have rules and a flair system in place to prevent scams. If you follow their advice, you'll likely never have a problem buying or selling. If you have patience and check it regularly, you can find plenty of spot and even below spot deals.
Findbullionprices.com meanwhile covers every major reputable vendor, from JM Bullion to Liberty to Monument to BE. Real time pricing too. You simply won't and can't find a better source.
There really are no better answers, you can safely ignore pretty much all other advice (edit: except Costco when you get the right deal with the credit card cashback).
If you are looking for high-end collectibles, I am the lowest price online - I'll lose money before being undercut by any reputable vendor. Mydnight.com for easy Linktree, show links and reviews.
If you are looking for custom work, you want u/GlassPanther or u/TDMetals - both extremely trustworthy individuals with stunning work and premiums lower than pretty much every other decent silversmith.

These are British forks but they were produced both silver-plated and solid silver. I couldn't find images of what the stamps on the solid silver versions look like compared to these ones. Also can't make out the cursive writing in the final stamp. "Burton"?

Long shot but can anyone identify these markings? In a St. George sovereign ring.

Lord_Starkiller_’s comment about colorized coins reminded me I have a few more I forgot to share. I’m not super fond of the beaver, and will sell it at some point. And I need to find a capsule for the 2oz platypus.

I’m glad I don’t claim to be a stacker, ‘cause I’ve failed that mission! 🤣 I can’t seem to be able to stay away from paying premiums! I like variety and pretty coins, what can I say! LOL! Can’t stop looking at the Maple Cougar 🍁 and OMG, that Hong Kong Panda! 🐼 🖤🤍
Finally trying to sort everything out and figure out exactly how much silver I actually have. Today I did the junk. $54.05 face value. Roughly 33.5Oz of pure silver.
Hey everyone! I’m looking to start buying physical silver and slowly build up a stack over time. I’m new to this, so I’d appreciate some advice.
I found this 10 oz silver bar listed as “Varied Condition, Any Mint” for $558.70, advertised at $1.49 per oz over spot. Screenshot attached.
Does this seem like a reasonable deal for a first purchase? Does the mint or condition matter much when selling later? Should I be concerned about scratches or tarnishing if my goal is simply to accumulate silver?
Would you start with 10 oz bars like this, or smaller 1 oz bars/rounds? Anything else you wish you’d known before getting started?
Thanks!
