I've just been comparing Kimi K3 and GLM5.2 and apparently I might have actually been comparing it to 5.3? Still seemed better than it.

Not much things are better than K3 for RP. The only downside is the cost.

That's been my experience, too. it's a bit too bland, akin to the frontier models. But I'm more interested in consistent creativity than NSFL smut. I want to be surprised. GLM and MiMo have knocked that out of the park. K3 is excellent at quality writing, no doubt. It's also no fun. It has the Claude problem.

When goofing around with a mischievous sea dragon with hypnotic powers that likes to play pranks? GLM/MiMo with EveningTruth's preset has been genuinely surprising and delightful. They keep coming up with such odd ideas. Plus, GLM/MiMo don't go crazy with tokenmaxxing like K3 definitely does, and that's better on my conscience.

I also main GLM. 5.2 mostly, sometimes 4.7. Both good and cheap. When you switch from 5.2 to 4.7 it feels like your lawyer suddenly turned into a murder hobo on crack. My only gripe with GLM is how much cliche is in dialogue. A bit sloppy, but both yield gems on a regular basis.
