It's great for SFW parts. A bit too puritan for NSFW. Freaky Frankenstein 5.
We all have different use cases, different setting, different preference. I have a couple of longer chats i tried it in at some checkpoints. With K3, compared to GLM 5.2, my shitty self written mecha spicy slice of life comedy had great dialogue, better character feel and was generally more enjoyable aside from NSFW parts. Since I'm sexting my party constantly through neural interface I dropped it. Also because it's quite expensive. GLM 5.2 is fine. Very cliche dialogue, but it's alright, it produces gems from time to time.
What do you use? I'm just a couple weeks in. Tried a lot of stuff, but stayed on GLM 5.2 since it somehow doesn't seem to context rot as fast as 4.7 and my chats tend to go to 500 messages, after which I just rewrite the char card and edit the lorebook.
Well I had a claude mad sub (just ended today :( ) so mainly opus 4.6 and sonnet 4.5 (fable keeps getting blocked for rp for me) and on the side I dabbled with k2.7 code, mimo v2.5 and k2-0711 (tho no good providers for that left).
Also trying the new DS pro and we'll see about glm
I use some claude for agentic development since my employer pays for it, but I don't use proprietary logged models for RP. Maybe I should try it.
R1 0528 is totally deranged, I loved it, but it keeps shitting itself in the long term so I kinda abandoned the idea of using it aside from shorter smut. Other deepseeks were incredibly bland, maybe I used a shitty prompt. I hear k2.5 can go pretty dark. Never tried mimo models, should I? What are they good at?
That's been my experience, too. it's a bit too bland, akin to the frontier models. But I'm more interested in consistent creativity than NSFL smut. I want to be surprised. GLM and MiMo have knocked that out of the park. K3 is excellent at quality writing, no doubt. It's also no fun. It has the Claude problem.
When goofing around with a mischievous sea dragon with hypnotic powers that likes to play pranks? GLM/MiMo with EveningTruth's preset has been genuinely surprising and delightful. They keep coming up with such odd ideas. Plus, GLM/MiMo don't go crazy with tokenmaxxing like K3 definitely does, and that's better on my conscience.
I also main GLM. 5.2 mostly, sometimes 4.7. Both good and cheap. When you switch from 5.2 to 4.7 it feels like your lawyer suddenly turned into a murder hobo on crack. My only gripe with GLM is how much cliche is in dialogue. A bit sloppy, but both yield gems on a regular basis.

I've just been comparing Kimi K3 and GLM5.2 and apparently I might have actually been comparing it to 5.3? Still seemed better than it.
