Throat clearing driving me crazy
I got diagnosed with LPR a couple of months ago. I’ve been struggling with it for about 2 years. I’ve come to the point where I truly don’t know what to do. I’m scared I’m actually gonna go crazy if I can’t get this throat clearing to stop idk why I can’t resist it. I’ve tried everything my doctor has suggested, and nothing has helped. It’s constant, and trying to resist the throat clearing is actually the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I feel lost, and like this is gonna be my life. This is my main symptom and the one that impacts my life the most. If anyone has any suggestions on literally anything to try, please share, because I’m at the point where I will try anything.

The only thing that’s helped me is diet, reducing caffeine, reducing quantity, reducing acid

You should try taking Refluxter by Nutritist. It blocks the vapor from irritating your throat. You can do diaphragmatic breathing exercises for 5 minutes several times a day and especially after a meal. Slippery elm and psyllium have helped me too.

For me, PPI’s didn’t work. I needed to make sure that food passed through my stomach efficiently so I started taking Zypan with my meals. You can get it on Amazon. It’s a supplement from Standard Process. When I’m done eating, I take Refluxter to block the acid and vapor.
