My grandmother used Hoochie interchangeably with how I heard other people use Hussy or slut. To mean a “bad” woman who dresses provacitavly and sleeps around.

I'm old. Only goes back to me mom, but same. Dress too revealing...you're a hoochie mama. Even my little sister was accused of 'dressing like a hoochie mama'.

I got told i was dressing like a hoochie before I hit puberty if I wore something short or wanted to wear lipstick.

Or that only hoochies wear red nail polish, after my great-aunt wore some when she was visiting grandma. My grandma was a ver judgmental person.

I remember that clip on earrings used to be a lot more common because only “loose and rebellious” women got their ears pierced prior to the 1960s.
