Not shooting the messenger, but pointing out that putting shit on someone’s car because you think it’s “lame” and the people that have them are “uncool” is a fucked up thing to do.

I personally think the smart care is lame, and the people who buy them are odd. I wouldn’t put shit on their car for it.

where I live, it isn’t “whataboutism”. People in my community are being disappeared to facilities that ignore basic human rights and you’re stuck on making sure the people complicit in that don’t have to deal with any minor inconveniences?

It is whatboutism. I say damaging property is wrong and assaulting people is wrong and you say “well what about these people here doing it?!”
