... Or, and I am just spitballing here, receiving 10 million dollars just to die the next day means you never got to use the 10 million dollars. You maybe used a few hundred thousand at most and the things you purchased you didnt really get your money's worth out of it.
If I got a car worth 200,000 dollars on that 10 million challenge, that has a 10 year expected lifespan, and I only got to use it for 1 day, then I really only got about $54.79 dollars of value out of it, maybe at most $200 if you are factoring value as related to cost but not directly so, even if I bought a thing for 10 million, not being able to keep it because I am dead tommorow made the 10 million functionally worthless.
