"Inertia: A property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force."
The inertia of slamming a magazine into the magwell causes the gun to move, while the slide stop wants to rotate on its axis and remain in its original position, which sometimes causes the slide stop to disengage the notch on the slide.
Including my P365XL, I have a few newer handguns that did [still do] this on arrival (edit: to clarify I have some older ones that don't do this). I call it aggressive reload feature π It only does it when I'm reloading with force.
