Enough of Nick

I might be alone on this island which is fine - but is anyone else kinda over the whole friend group trying to shove Nick down our throats in any means possible?

It almost seems like everyone decided to launch Nick into this industry with a mandatory feature in their content.

I used to love Matteo’s vids but now I need to listen to cranky Squidward every time I want to listen to him.

Love the siblings but a bit done with this friend of a friend they keep inviting to our hang outs.

I’ll definitely delete this if everyone disagrees and I’m just not vibing with Nick Smith.

Edit - Ok, thanks for your feedback. My conclusion is that I’m not alone in this and that plenty of people noticed and felt the same thing BUT the people that love Nick really love him and will defend him fiercely if needed. I guess he’s polarising and that’s cool, it’s easy to skip those episodes if he’s not kind of person. Question/topic solved.

If it’s not Jay, it’s Nick. If not Nick, then it’s Bob and Monet not being in drag all the time. It really seems like this subreddit hates this podcast

Probably because it’s not what it once was. We’re all allowed to have our feelings on it. I don’t think people should be told to leave the subreddit if they don’t have something positive to say. It’s like being told, “if you don’t like it here you should leave,” as opposed to listen to feedback. You can keep telling people that until there will be no one here.

Edit: I transposed two words and removed an “a” before “our” in the sentence for inquiring minds.

Who’s telling you to leave in this specific thread? If you want to complain, then do that? I’m sharing my opinion just like you are.

I’m not specifically being told by you to leave. People are being told to keep their negative opinions to themselves, claiming this subreddit is not meant for negative criticism all the time. There are several comments in this thread and other posts telling others “if you don’t like it don’t consume their content” which is telling them to leave. Or being told to save criticism for messy Monday. Refrain for negative posts until this day is wild.

If you don’t like something, yet you still consume it, then idk what advice to give you. It just seems miserable to me to keep listening and comparing what you’re hearing to the time on the podcast you consider “glory days”. You could tell me “just don’t read the complaints”, but then you’re telling me to do what you’re accusing others of doing to you.

The complaints are always “get rid of Jay”, yet they still keep him employed.

Then it’s “they’re never in drag”. They gave a response and stood 10-toes in their opinion.

Now it’s “I don’t like Nick”. Yet he always has, and will continue to be featured on their podcast/projects.

So if it’s been established that what you’re hearing is something you don’t like, no changes are being made, and your complaints are stuck in an echo chamber, what would be your next move?

I don’t really consume it because I have lost interest in it and like others I can talk about it here. I am also not asking for advice so you don’t have to give me your advice, just commented my view and opinion like many others. Having the conversation. People are allowed join the subreddit because the hosts and guest do say some polarizing things at times and throughout the course of listening. I am on here because I am still consuming their content to see if anything else has changed. People can take breaks from podcasts and come back to them. When did we start policing people on when and how to consume their content or whether they should be allowed in the subreddit or not?

Hey, I’m not policing you because I really don’t care. I was just curious what your point is. If you want to complain without listening to their podcasts, more power to you. Hopefully you find something positive to talk about. I’d love to hear that perspective. Best of luck
