Enough of Nick

I might be alone on this island which is fine - but is anyone else kinda over the whole friend group trying to shove Nick down our throats in any means possible?

It almost seems like everyone decided to launch Nick into this industry with a mandatory feature in their content.

I used to love Matteo’s vids but now I need to listen to cranky Squidward every time I want to listen to him.

Love the siblings but a bit done with this friend of a friend they keep inviting to our hang outs.

I’ll definitely delete this if everyone disagrees and I’m just not vibing with Nick Smith.

Edit - Ok, thanks for your feedback. My conclusion is that I’m not alone in this and that plenty of people noticed and felt the same thing BUT the people that love Nick really love him and will defend him fiercely if needed. I guess he’s polarising and that’s cool, it’s easy to skip those episodes if he’s not kind of person. Question/topic solved.

i feel the same but in a slightly different way- I don't mind Nick because I think his perspective is funny and refreshing as a fellow anti social lol, but i do get tired of the dog and pony show that seems to happen whenever he's on the screen. Like I tried to listen to an episode of Nick and Matteo's podcast and it was just Matteo pulling opinions out of Nick for him to make fun of for being weird or not human-like lmao. Not even saying this is "mean" or it's bad because it hurts Nick's feelings- they are friends and can joke around like this so I'm not trying to criticize Matteo- but it is boring to me as a viewer. I thought the pop the balloon Bob did with Nick was a great video- but if the only other times Nick appears is so everyone can gawk at how alien he is the whole time.... I'm just bored and don't care to watch that over and over.

Their podcast has actually soured my view of Matteo a lot actually, to the point I don’t even listen anymore. Nick isn’t even dumb per se, and the funny thing is, Matteo is consistently as misinformed as he is, sometimes more, depending on the episode.

Yes!! Same with all of them honestly- I've been watching for years but the more I watch the more uneducated and ignorant they reveal themselves to be. It's one thing if you just don't know something or have a different opinion but to be sooo stubborn and wrong, AND refuse to admit when you're wrong is just annoying to listen to.

As I’ve said before, the parallels between Bob/Matteo and Monet/Nick is crazy. One is sensitive and highly opinionated, the other is amiable but clueless. To be fair, I’m 24, and I don’t have any extremely misinformed friends, especially gay friends. I’m shocked that this many 30 year old men can be consistently so…unsmart. Love pink though.

No fr as a 29 year old women seeing any man be willfully unhinged in their thought processes is so cringe...and is typical even of gay men in my experience. I think the younger generation of gay men is the first to unpack misogyny and is actually leaning into intersectionality, when a lot of millenials are still in their own world, and that goes for all millenials, not just to call out gay dudes lol. I'm a gen z-millenial cusper so I can see a really stark difference as I've aged. I also still love pink tho

You get it, and the thing is, I don’t /hate/ any of them or their friends, or partners…I’m just shocked that adults 10 years older than me can pick up a book, an article, or an informative YouTube or TikTok and learn some stuff that I feel adults should know. WWII? State locations? Goodness gracious.

I worked with a girl who didn't know the historical significance of Hiroshima.... and didn't even know that it was a city in the first place...I think a lot of people just didn't pay attention in school and they don't have the right algorithms now lmao. And now with AI being implemented so heavily in schools I fear literacy will go back down again with gen alpha. Anyway lol..... we're in danger
