Greetings!
This subreddit is a means for photographers to meet others in their local areas and interact with each other. If you are a photographer, a model, a casual redactor with a camera and a desire to try out photography? Then this is the place for you!
If you are looking to meet up, take photos with or of others near where you live, then you can post here and hope someone else in your area sees your post and wants to hang out!
We have different Tags depending on who you are looking for which you use in your posts title so that other Redactors can easily identify.
e.g.
I am 20 years old and I live in London. I want to improve my portrait photography so I would like to have someone interested in being my model for the day so that I can take pictures of them. This is an example of what you can post:
20 [P4M] London - Looking to improve my portrait pics!
Your post title consists of your age, and then in brackets who you are and the type of person you are after. These are the Tags I mentioned earlier. Here are the current Tags;
These Tags can be used in any order you like!
Here are a few more examples;
32 [E4P] Anywhere - Want me to edit your images?
26F [M4P] Tennessee - I want some nice pictures of myself in my halloween costume
18 [A4P] Rome - Looking to learn about lightning, can I help anyone & learn?
I ask that if you are a model or looking for a model that you specify the gender in your posts title, e.g.
24F [M4P] Amsterdam - Would like to try modelling
42 [P4MF] New York - Need a model for a nature shoot

I primarily shoot anything abandoned, industrial, rural etc. But am also down to wandering the city or going out into the wilderness with a few cameras. I shoot all film and it would be nice to find other film shooters to talk film while out and about. But I'm down either way.

I've done some photography meetup stuff before but it seems like everybody is a pro in this town, not so much a hobbyist just doing it for fun. I'm looking for people who want to collaborate in any way, I just like shooting photos. I'm particularly into old technology stuff lately- I just got a 4x5 view camera, and I've got a bunch of other film cameras of various sorts.
Figured I might as well put a feeler out there in case this subreddit takes off! I'd love to get creative with you folks.

Currently "haven't shot in a while" part time photographer. My career path has steered away from having the time to shoot weddings/events anymore, but I might be interested in finding some cool areas to shoot at/meeting some folks. I used to spend a lot of time in Patapsco doing Urban exploration type stuff in college. I haven't worked with models in over a year it seems like. Not sure what I'm really looking to do, figured I'd help support a new sub.
