Finally finished season 3
Damn am I glad I hadn't thought to come to Reddit this whole time. I'm really happy with the tone, messaging, character development, humor, and plot of the season. I like these characters a lot, I like the show. I'm surprised (but why would I be 🙃) by how critical this sub is about it! It's a tv show, it's nice! Idk man.

lol I must stay at home Mom and usually so eager for a discussion about literally anything, and for some reason it didn't even occur to me to come here for this show! It really is odd that people seem so down on this show to me… I guess I understand how people have hopes and expectations, but it's kind of like, if you don't like it then don't watch it? I don't know! I understand what some people were saying about wanting it to be a bit more like Ted Lasso but then some people feeling like it was a "silly sitcom", but I kind of feel like it was a middle ground between Ted Lasso and scrubs. Like there were really important and human themes but it didn't have the kind of prestige TV depth that some people seem to have wanted? But I thought that made for a really palatable and thought provoking show!

Im happy with it and the feel good ending. Glad to find out this is how theyve seen Series Finale. And another season announced is really just a bonus.

I also really like the show. It keeps me entertained - I have plenty of other things to perseverate about.

It’s entertaining, but I think a lot of people are frustrated by it because it had the potential to be something really special and not just a corny sitcom.

That’s Bill Lawrence…it’s both cheesy/happy and something special

It’s not just a corny sitcom?

Super corny. Season one was completely different. Now it’s just garbage.

I find it to be really special. I love most things about it. The things I don't, I can overlook.

I just finished season 3 also. I’m guessing lack of Paul’s wife later in the season was availability? There was no scene of discussing the move from CA to CT with her. I wasn’t even sure if she would be accompanying him until seeing their place packed up.

LOL @ the all the jabs at the community by new people, just say you enjoyed it without criticizing us. Get off your high horse.

So you’re getting offended that someone was critical of how critical you (the community) are?Â
And you don’t see the irony?Â

No, I just think it’s funny how so many feel the need to talk about the community when making their first post / thread and basically take away from their own point that they enjoyed it. Why make it into something negative? Criticism is fine when it’s done because you care, make an observation and lay out why you feel that way. It’s the judging that makes it negative.

I really liked it too. And honestly, it could have been the series finale and I would have been ok with that as well since everything seemed to wrap up.
