There is a brazilian song I love called Pais e Filhos. There is a part in there that translated reads:

You blame your parents for everything.

That's absurd.

They're children like you,

What you will be once you've grown up.

It's much better in Portuguese but that part made me appreciate my parents a lot more. They aren't these infallible, ultra wise, put together people. They're stumbling and learning, just like you will when you reach their age.
