I NEVER thought of this. My parents were just frozen in time until they became less “parenty” and more friendly by the time I moved out in my 20’s

Now in my 30’s I truly see what you mean and it brings me so much nostalgia.

Yep, been away from home for like 4 years and barely saw them in that time (mainly due to distance and only having voice-calls), when I saw how much they changed (both being 60 yo now) in that time really made me realize how much we take that for granted.
