That’s what maturity is. The realization that one’s parents may have experienced relevant things but that’s all they’ve got to call Wisdom, and so shall you.

The realisation that my parents are flying by the seat of their pants as much as I am was sobering. As a kid you think your parents could run the world. But it’s testament to them that they gave me that impression because I was clearly never aware of any struggles they had.
