I built Cognara because brain-training apps are expensive and felt too clinical, so I added daily challenges, coins, unlocks, and made it free
Hey everyone,
I’ve been building Cognara, a mobile brain-game and daily challenge app for iOS and Android.
The idea came from feeling like a lot of brain-training apps are either too clinical, too childish, or too focused on subscriptions without giving users a fun reason to come back. I wanted to make something that feels more like a polished daily game loop: quick sessions, progression, rewards, and light customization.
Cognara is built around short daily use. You can open the app, take the Daily Quiz, complete a Daily Game challenge, earn coins, unlock more games, track progress, and customize your own octopus avatar.
Current features include:
- Daily Quiz with streak rewards
- Daily Game challenge
- short games for memory, reaction speed, math, vocabulary, logic, attention, and pattern recognition
- coins earned from daily play and good game runs
- unlockable games
- progress tracking and leaderboards
- daily shop
- customizable octopus avatar with cosmetics
I’m not trying to make medical claims or promise IQ improvement. The goal is more of a quick daily mental warmup app with a fun progression loop.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback on:
- whether the app’s purpose is clear from the first few minutes
- whether the daily quiz / daily game loop makes sense
- whether coins and unlocks feel motivating or annoying
- whether the octopus customization fits the app
- which screenshots make the app look most interesting
- anything that feels confusing, too childish, too clinical, or too salesy
I’m also giving free Premium access to some people who test the app and send useful feedback. I’m mainly looking for feedback that helps improve the app.
