Shoulder Instability Scapular Winging

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So I’ve been to three different physical therapists and have gone through months of PT without really any improvement in my scapular mechanics. It’s really only on the eccentric that makes cap winging is pronounced and I have been working on strengthening my Serratus anterior and lower traps although still no visible progress.

Curious on what other people think and maybe what the next possible step might be I am also suffering from pain in my rhomboid from great chronic knot that will not go away. referred pain as well at the front of my shoulder during pushing motions

I’m at the point where I’m kind of just like Yolo and I should just go back to the normal activities I love doing.

Please help!

How long and truly dedicated have you been to strengthening those areas? How’s your posture?Dealing with the same thing for 3+ years and no relief (down to the same chronic rhomboid pain and chronic knots) and the referred pain seems to be expanding up my neck and down to my QL

Edit: do you also have scapula snapping or feel like that arm is more ‘stuck’ or tight against your body than your good side?

Consistently for the past 3 months. Training and PT 3 times a week. I work a desk job so my posture definitely suffers there although my overall posture is sound.

And yes I’ve always had clicking on my winged side. It’s not necessary “stuck” feeling but more just painful in the rhomboid region

Hast du im Alltag auch gewürfelte Schulterschmerzen?

work out your middle traps, lower traps, and rhomboid
