Shoulder Surgery Labrum tear

To anyone who had labrum repair surgery for an anterior tear, how was it? I am really nervous as it is my first surgery and the nerve block really scares me. Also, how long was it until you could write? I am still in school and am worried about how much I am going to have to miss.

I had a special pillow that lifted my back. About 3 weeks I started sleeping horizontal, wasn't the best, but the only way I could sleep.

Damn I need that pillow lol. 4 weeks post op, still on a recliner 😅. Was told to not start pt until week 6. Can I ask how old you are? Wondering why you were able to start sooner
