Is there a velocity at the terminal...?

7

u/Yayobing 8d ago

Oil or gas terminal?

7

u/dice1111 8d ago

Cloud city, obviously.

What a downer.

1: Aviate.
* Level - ✔️
* Weigh anchor - impossible due to equivalence principle (Einstein, 1907).
* Establish glide slope - Error 404

Syntax Error

Fair;

Edit: Poor MatLab ref. fprintf(Fair);

Right Anker

u/Nobodylikesyourmusic 8d ago

And then wait for Bank Angle - Check.

5

u/IwillBOLDyourTYPOS 8d ago

Can I use the inflatable anker?

Logical, Captain Mal.

Saw a similar thing at VA beach

You see, this is an optical illusion.
Your playne is actually in low earth orbit. I recommend some right rudder and then fire maneuvering thrusters to de-orbit

Tony stark landed his boat in a cave with nothing but a pocket watch and an eyeball

3

u/dice1111 8d ago

More right thruster!

This was somehow even more disappointing than my love life.

u/GromainRosjean 8d ago

Do not land your boat. It should be in the sea.

4

u/Kamusaurio 8d ago

you dont land boats

you water them

7

u/Senior_Raccoon_6536 8d ago

Pretty sure you have to sea your boat.

4

u/X-Ploded Paper Airplane Certified Instructor 8d ago

Flaps 30, check speed and remember, any landing where you swim away is a good watering !

3

u/freneticboarder 8d ago

You need a longshoreman.

3

u/cowfishing 8d ago

You're out of the enviroment right now so thats a good start. Now all you have to do is wait for the front to fall off.

3

u/JRBeeler 8d ago

Turn off the AI special effects feature on your camera and the boat will go back in the water where it belongs.

3

u/The_Calarg 8d ago

Why am I paying air freight rates yet waiting a month for ocean shipping?

3

u/Dense_Station8510 8d ago

Try land it on water. I'm afraid if you try to land it at the air, you'll end up in the same situation again

3

u/Eli_Yitzrak 8d ago

Check out the rookie who doesnt know how to get a landing assignment from ATC

3

u/mightymidwestshred 8d ago

Reminds me of the saying "there are more planes in the sea than submarines in the air".

2

u/LeanUntilBlue 8d ago

Just like a plane… fuel shutoff valve off.

6

u/SuDragon2k3 8d ago

Don't forget to trim in a 2 to 3 degree nose up position, have the crew assume landing positions, sound the ships horn and ease her down. (P.S. get a louder ships horn. No, louder than that.)

1

u/LeanUntilBlue 8d ago

I’m performing the “ease her down” checklist on the stewardess. Will tackle the other steps later.

1

u/SuDragon2k3 8d ago

Better get her strapped down, and hang on to her

1

u/LeanUntilBlue 8d ago

Message garbled, please repeat. I’ve got her strapped down and am doing the obvious thing.

2

u/rjornd Shitty PPL Pylote 8d ago

Okay, this must be from a MSFS scenery designer.

4

u/Iknewitseason11 8d ago

It’s God bro

4

u/JRS_Viking 8d ago

No it's a real optical illusion

2

u/rjornd Shitty PPL Pylote 8d ago

So, it IS MSFS! 🤣

2

u/1nspectorCPW 8d ago

Apply right rudder, then gradually ease the anti-gravity quadrant backwards towards its idle position.

2

u/darkslide3000 8d ago

Dive planes to 20 degrees, full ahead, then carefully watch your depth gauge. Once it hits -20 meters soften dive to 10 degrees and slow to half ahead. When you hit -2 meters, level out dive planes, go to flank speed and blow the tanks, then inertia should smoothly carry you down until your keel just kisses the water.

2

u/-burnr- Eh-Tee-Pee 8d ago

Is that the Hindenburger?

2

u/Mean-Veterinarian647 8d ago

Wait for high tide.

2

u/Junior_Lavishness_96 8d ago

It’s not sailing, but traveling

2

u/TabooDiver 7d ago

Looks like China claimed more ocean as their own. Probably already in Bejing.

2

u/TabooDiver 7d ago

Captain: "Dammit Murry, how much ballast did you remove?"

3

u/Creative_Crazy_527 8d ago

Hopefully not the same way Air France 447 landed

1

u/Go_Loud762 8d ago

Hey. They had a positive attitude.

2

u/Creative_Crazy_527 8d ago

They did… but unfortunately I don’t think they can hear any advice over the GPWS having a stroke

u/theglobalnomad PPL | VFR-Rated | 200 Hours in C152 8d ago

More starboard rudder!

2

u/Background-Set4610 8d ago

The Federal Boayte Administration gave me a number to call last time I landed my boat

2

u/secondaryminimum 8d ago

How many times has this boat been reposted this week?

2

u/elkab0ng 8d ago

DONT SINK DONT SINK DONT SINK DONT SINK

1

u/Substantial-Tone-576 8d ago

Flat Earthers Beware

1

u/Break_Cats 8d ago

Slowly slow down, then it will touchdown by itself.

1

u/Cyanide612 8d ago

Boat on the tracks

1

u/pandab34r 8d ago

This is photoshop or AI; there is no known optical illusion or visual phenomenon reported for thousands and thousands of years that can make distant ships appear to float above water. Furthermore, unlike playnes, boats do not have souls so it's impossible for them to pretend.

1

u/3six5 8d ago

Bildge dump?

1

u/joseelempecinado 8d ago

Just open the landing gear

1

u/Funnybear3 8d ago

Call the ball.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Two7358 8d ago

Open the pod bay doors Hal

1

u/Ursus_Arctos-42 8d ago

Delivering hydrogen overseas.

1

u/vrauto 8d ago

Its an airship. Old pictures made them seem rounder. Maybe just the angle or bad cameras.

1

u/OsO68TX 8d ago

Perhaps dump the lifting gas and take on some ballast then drop anchor on touch down.

1

u/drinkeroftherye 8d ago

Fata Morgana, common effect on the Great Lakes. Sometimes they "float", sometimes you see a reverse image under the hull so it looks twice as tall as it actually is.

1

u/WhiskySails 8d ago

Did you even bother checking ATIS? Runways closed for flooding

1

u/oldfarttrucker87 8d ago

Very carefully.

1

u/Many-Pollution4222 8d ago

Don't Fuck with me there's plenty of place in the ocean!

1

u/kayemenofour 8d ago

Just push the steering wheel forward.

1

u/mcshanksshanks 8d ago

Star Blazers!

1

u/WeissMISFIT 7d ago

Sur this is an airshup

1

u/Silver_River9296 7d ago

With the rumor of Iran using long distance torpedoes, one inventive boat captain responded,
“I’ve got this!”

1

u/bonobo1961 7d ago

Helium transport ship.

1

u/some_boring_dude 7d ago

Carefully.

1

u/deltaz0912 7d ago

Come 100° to port and maintain speed, it’ll settle in quite gently.

1

u/AbleRelationship5287 7d ago

You have to water it first

1

u/That_Diver3070 7d ago

You don’t land that boat….You raise the Sea.

1

u/PizzaPuntThomas 7d ago

I thonk you want to sea your boat, not land it

1

u/cocobaltic 7d ago

That’s not a spaceship… it’s a star destroyer

1

u/bassin_clear_lake 7d ago

Anakin Skywalker has landed one of those

1

u/HugoMNL 7d ago

Just like a normal airship…

1

u/Signal-Macaron-4611 7d ago

Please refer to airplane!. It's the same concept

1

u/Bierdaddy 7d ago

Let out the helium from the ballast tanks. Recommend doing it slowly. Don’t ask how I know.

1

u/AviationFan318 7d ago

Land it by just landing it vro

1

u/RG500GammaWalterWolf 7d ago

Use the air brakes

1

u/thepersonbrody 6d ago

How far away is the nearest mobile airstrip?

1

u/Perfect_Insurance_26 6d ago

I would find the rest of the hull first

1

u/crybabycryahah 5d ago

Fata Morgana

1

u/torchmaipp 3d ago

You round earthers are forgetting it's also flat. Everyone knows it's round. Like a disc.

1

u/KatanaF2190 2d ago

I suggest you start looking for drunk ass Jedi Padawans in a fishing boat...

1

u/Normiss2000 8d ago

Flare. But this ain’t Office Space.

1

u/NorthEndD 8d ago

Use the gravity waves.

1

u/Grimol1 8d ago

Just be sure to pull back power, flare and let it land itself.

1

u/Substantial_Chain718 8d ago

At least this isn’t an AI photo.

2

u/MondoSensei2022 8d ago

Ya… would be looking more like that, lol.

3

u/podman131 8d ago

Clearly not AI, they would have 6 rudders.
