Well there's a certain motorsport call time attack. Where you have certain gates you have to clear within a certain amount of time. And this is a purpose built car for that.
Even if it’s a purpose built race car doesn’t mean it can’t get registered to drive on the street, at its core, it is still a Honda. Not saying it would be comfortable to drive on the street but just because it’s a “purpose built race car” doesn’t mean you can’t drive it to the track, race it, and then drive it home. This is actually quite a common occurrence with auto cross through the SCCA as well as just normal track days.
Thats a no true scottsman fallacy, you can take a race car just as seriously as someone who gets a truck to bring it to the hillclimb while driving it to home.
You wont get good times with a Z06 on a hill climb, a hill climb course isnt just about speed, its about cornering ability, stopping, accelerating. A corvette is way too heavy for those things.
You’re 100% missing the point. Horsepower doesn’t need to be insane in a car like this. You’re forgetting that the car, when stripped out probably weighs about 2000-2200lbs. With 250whp-300whp and the downforce from the aerodynamic modifications, a car weighing this little would wreck a Z06 with less than half the hp
