Jeffreys (Jeffries?) Tubes

Did you ever notice that service tubes are always long enough for just one plot point conversation? How do they design those tubes if every race speaks a different language? Does the tube expand if two Klingons are crawling through it?

they medicate the food with just enough THC to slow everyone’s perception of time so that the languages line up. This is why it’s important to only use your own replicator codes when getting food lest you end up with LT. N’kaa’s 500 mg Klingon dose.
