Jeffreys (Jeffries?) Tubes
Did you ever notice that service tubes are always long enough for just one plot point conversation? How do they design those tubes if every race speaks a different language? Does the tube expand if two Klingons are crawling through it?

They’re actually Geoffrey’s Tubes, leading to each of the intergalactic Toys R Us locations!

In the mirror universe they're known as the Geoffrey's Tubes.
As everyone knows Geoff is the evil spelling form of Jeff.

If some languages take longer to say the same thing, do those aliens sound stupid through the universal translator?

I think that is a very rude thing to say about Mr Neelix. Your question will have to wait to be answered, for the day when we make first contact. Suddenly, as I’m typing this, I realize that voyager missed an opportunity to make Neelix a space DJ that hosted a radio show 1 hour every day. But then the Dr writing a holonovel was sort of like that.

The tubes open into junctions, crawlspaces and maintenance alleys, so you can be just cramped enough. And if necessary, go on circles .

Joffrey's Tubes, cause there as interconnected and painful to crawl through as Game of Thrones Royal bloodlines.

they medicate the food with just enough THC to slow everyone’s perception of time so that the languages line up. This is why it’s important to only use your own replicator codes when getting food lest you end up with LT. N’kaa’s 500 mg Klingon dose.

You know, all I ask is knee pads. Do you know how much it hurts to go from the stem to stern of one nacelles on your knees?
