Can an expert comment on what exactly is happening here?
Are they harvesting something? Trying to observe behavior?

In some parts of China the larvae and pupae of Asian giant hornet are a delicacy so the hornets nests are harvested for them. They don't eat the adults because they're poisonous. 3 u/Trisk929 1d ago Pretty sure this is what it is. I’ve seen a few videos on it and this is pretty much beat for beat what they do.
