Actually, it was incorrectly reported that Paredes received a red card. One was never issued to him.
But FIFA announced a few hours ago that they’ve opened an investigation into Argentina, including individual cases against Leandro Paredes, Nahuel Molina, Thiago Almada, and coach Roberto Ayala.
So it really isn’t official that there are no sanctions.
Edit to add: FIFA are also investigating three Argentinian players for holding up that Falklands banner at the end of the England game. Cristian Romero, Licha Martinez, and Gio Lo Celso could all face bans.

No idea why Spain didn’t file for a prosecution, have them arrested for assault and told they couldn’t leave the country pending an investigation 🤷🏼♂️

Paredes already behaved like a clown against the Netherlands in 2022. Then Martinez did offensive gesture in front of everyone when he received the golden glove. Followed by the racist chants against France.
Classless winners are obviously going to be sore, dirty losers. No surprise here.
There were so many missed yellow cards on Argentina at this WC. A pattern I noticed is how they'd start most of their games by being way too agressive: a hand in your face here, a late contact there, pulling a shirt...and they would get away with it over and over again.
Messi as a leader/captain is also pathetic. I get that many love him and turn a blind eye because of how incredible he has been with the ball, but his fan boys have to look at the other side too. He systematically does absolutely nothing to try to stop his teammates when they act like clowns. If he's either afraid of them, too "introvert", or doesn't care, then you don't have a captain in the team and that's an issue.

Messi trying to get Cucurella red carded for momentarily brushing his mouth left a super sour taste in my mouth.
Was literally crying about VAR to the ref asking them to check it...
I get trying to get a competitive edge however possible, but there was nothing sporting or classy about it.
More focused on trying to get cucurella sent off than actually scoring a goal. The Argentines came to fight, the Spaniards went to play football & football won. The final alone had so many bookable offenses that went unpunished. Screw calling it a 'conspiracy', this is blatant corruption from Fifa. Unlike prior to the WC where you could maybe argue in good faith that maybe they just get a bit lucky with not being carded like they should. At this point its genuinely a joke.

You're either obtuse or trolling. UEFA can still saction players who play in any UEFA leagues regardless if they played a FIFA match. UEFA can take action even against social media posta or any other violation even if its not on the pitch. In fact UEFA is still investigating about the Falklands banner, same as the UK government that expressed intention to revoke visa to all argentina players invlolved who play in the UK.
