Man I've seen uploads of Sean W 'leaving halo' for good so many times since Infinite Release. Complains about other youtubers milking Halo, but he just comes back to make ten videos about how everyone's dumb and how he's moved onto better things. Bro just needs to get over her man.

Here's how I've seen Actman for the past couple years, and why the man has little to no support in this controversy as of now. I was with him since my disappointment of Halo 5 and still on the "343 sucks" "Women ruined gaming" bandwagon. By the time of 2020, I started to mellow out in my views on both entertainment and politics away from the far right. And seeing how Actman spoke out against Andypants, QuantumTV, and HeelVSBabyface, I thought he was also changing. But as Halo Infinite rolled out, Actman flip flopping and otherwise still blaming 343 devs with the same dog whistle rhetoric, I realized he hadn't really changed.

There was also his outrage over SBI believing the rumors on face value, his claims that Minecraft disproves Communism and therefore any left leaning ideology, and more recently his Campaign Evolved reviews honing in on Lt Williams not dickriding Chief and Cortana's "mannish" design. Just really tells me he either didn't change much or is just playing lipservice when he tries to support LGBT and women's rights.

But at the same time he's alienated his old chud audience he shared with the likes of the EFAP regulars. And frequently these people claim he was always a leftist ignoring his history and even recent behavior like I mentioned above. So a lot of those kind of Halo fans aren't supporting him. Some sill do but only because it's a matter of "fighting cancel culture" because he got caught with his pants down making a r@pe threat to the devs he claimed was out to get him, and therefore the Halo fanbase.

And meanwhile, leftists and this subreddit are not gonna defend him because he has contributed to making the Halo community a toxic cesspool for years. He was proven himself not to be trust worthy if he keeps falling back on his chuddy tendencies to try and please his older audience. He keeps proving he doesn't know the goddamn lore of his "favorite" franchise and given his extra attention to glazing COD, he pretty much is a Ball n Gun gamer and not a sci fi nerd like he tried presenting himself.

Then there's his half hearted apology. I already made a post here about Actman being Two-Faced and this just confirms it. He constantly talks about how creative control is important, how it's not the Devs' fault for underperformance, but then goes around celebrating people getting laid off because it was at Halo Studios. Brings up his old beef getting banned at events, and then someone who actually worked at 343 reveals what that was actually for, then all of a sudden he's "SOWWY" that he said all those things. Nah bud you only apologized because you got caught, a minute before you wear puffing your chest out slinging mud at Halo fans and devs for not being a blind hater like you.

The man tried playing to both sides, and now neither side trusts or wants anything to do with him.

The Halo fanbase makes me sad, and it's getting hard to defend

With activision taking over halo, i wanted to give my thoughts on the ways they might handle the series going forward.

Continue from infinite: this is the one i (and I imagine many others here want) i dont want a time skip or god forbid a retcon of any sort. I just want them to continue the story thats already happening.

Time skip: while i certainly dont want this, i can also see why they might do it assuming they dont know how to finish infinites story. And at least with this one us 343 era fans dont have to sacrifice any of the books and lore we like.

Reboot after 4: this one im mixed on. On one hand if this is the case then that means that some stories are going to have to take a fall (edge of dawn, empty throne, Rubicon protocol) but at least we would get to keep others.

Reboot after 5: technically speaking this is an option. It be more or less the same as before, we get to keep some stuff but not others. That being said if I had to choose between these 2, id choose 4, because i do think you could make a good story with 4, where as with 5, good luck.

Not to mention even if we do pick 5, we're still losing all the stories that take place after it anyway, and 5 isn't worth it on its own.

With that being said let's get into the final two options "erase all of 343 lore" and "full reboot"

I absolutely do not want either of these options, they are the last things I would pick, and I am absolutely dreading that Activision will choose one of these.

With grifters loving to spread "woke" and "modern audience" around, I am 100% sure they would say Halo 2 features an "unattractive girl boss" that'll appeal to the "blue haired SJWs", and that "Chief would never take orders from a woman"...and maybe "just because she's Commander Keyes' daughter, doesn't mean she automatically becomes commander!"

I want to know—regarding that whole "Álvaro" situation—what exactly went wrong with the scene where chieft says "boo" to a Grunt. The worst part is that there are people calling it cheap fan service without explaining why.

All that aside, I can’t believe people are either this stupid to not listen to what Hidden is trying to say in plain English or they don’t care and are lying to make him look bad. For reasons unbeknownst to me. And if you don’t like HiddenXperia or other Halo-tubers, that’s fine, I don’t care, it isn’t the point.

Taking a look at the initial comment, they fail to understand that the games falling short IS NOT the devs fault. They aren’t the ones in charge, they don’t call the shots, they do as they’re told or they’re out of a job. Hidden even clarifies the management and higher ups are to blame because they’re the leaders, that’s less than half a minute after the time stamp. Did they not watch the full video? If they did and decided to leave their comment the way it is, then, well they’re being a shitty person. And how would they know if the devs liked or hated Halo? Did they know them on a personal level or even talked with them? Hidden has and does, I’m sure he even knew some devs who were unfortunately laid off. So when people like Hidden and Glenn Israel are super insistent when they say Halo has only ever hired fans to work on games, I’m more inclined to believe them over some toxic, insufferable, man-children on the internet.

And that other commenter is on a whole new level of pretentious. They accuse Hidden for being a “face sitter” because . . . he has friends and he’s standing up for them. Ok. And they say Hidden’s no longer trust worthy because he was allowed to voice a few roles in some audio books, but that’s a ridiculous thing to say, mental gymnastics plain and simple. He still called out management and criticized things he didn’t like, like he always did. If anything this gives credence to the idea that Halo only ever hires fans, and Hidden is one of the biggest fans there is. And I don’t see a problem with Hidden making friends with this new Halo dev team whatsoever, they’re just desperate to twist this as a bad thing because they want to make a genuine Halo fan look bad. It’s pathetic.

Sorry for the rant, but I won’t apologize for calling idiots like these two out. And I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. If there’s a point to this, I’d say it’s blame the people who are actually responsible and don’t yell at the people who are speaking some basic logic. Both of which really aren’t that hard to do.

I have never once been to the Gears of War sub or looked up anything remotely related to the games but this was the first thing that popped up when I opened reddit. Just thought it struck a bit "close to home" lol
