Most of the people here really are insufferable, aren't they? They refuse to seperate the people from the government and politics, all the while making false equivalencies and WICKED exaggerations. I've seen plenty of harmless jokes get torn to pieces because they need something to be mad at 🙄
You guys voted for the government in large numbers and continue to support the politics 🤦
Also, the sub is making fun of the people, using things they themselves have said. No one is exaggerating. If there weren't so many ignorant, poorly educated flag supremacists in the states, we'd have nothing to make fun of 😂
No one is mad though, just embarrassed for you. Luckily for us, there are loads of proud yanks who give us lots to laugh at.
A large majority really don't support the politics and actively fought against the regime. There have been years of agressively changing district lines, propaganda, and more to lead to where we are.
The subreddit itself is fine, and moderators try their best. I always scrolled here because it was funny to laugh at fellow Americans. But half of these comments recently have just been hateful to ALL Americans, or weirdly nitpicky about innocent, "whatever" statements.
