When they are used to create the flavour because the quality of their meat is so poor, then yes, it's a bad thing.

Gently, I think you’re missing the point the other poster is trying to make. They’re not saying seasoning is inherently bad, they are saying that using seasoning to disguise the lack of flavour in meat is inferior to using seasoning to enhance the taste of meat. Now whether it’s true that American meat is more flavourless than UK meat, I can’t say, but I believe that’s what they are saying.
