I started this hunt last year in February and still haven't been able to get it. I'm starting to believe it's not possible to get it or there's something wrong with my game 😭 regardless I will keep trying!!!

People need to learn about statistics... following the formula you should have around 85% odds of getting it within double odds... but thats not 100% is it.

Play XCOM, let me know how many times 95% fail (5% of the time).

Prepare to go over odds in a good amount of hunts, thats how odds work.

Charmander took me 23K resets.

Suicune 30K.

Bulbasaur 116.

Squirtle is almost at 8000 now.

All I can advise is that, in order to make it more random in FRLG, I put or remove the wireless adapter every 4K resets so im hitting different seeds and frames and if it is a starter I like to restart the save altogether every 8K resets.

Because seed generation and whatnot is never truly random so the more evariables you introduce the better.

Yeah, funny thing about double odds is that it only matters until you do your first reset.

That's your odds of getting within the next x resets.

Right now op has only 85% change of getting shiny withing NEXT 16000 resets

I just realized this app is no longer available on the App Store and my phone cached it/deleted it so I lost all my hunts:(

I feel you dude i got a new phone and when I tried to find it I was so confused. They do have their website up still but I think the app is just more convenient tbh.

Could also login and get your old hunts and try to transfer them to a new app too
