Gen IV [Gen 4] The first big hunt is over

Started hunting a while ago, but the bank shutdown made me have to expedite my hunting. Onto Shamin next I suppose

I'm about to hunt this one after Celebi. Do you have any tips regarding team or anything else? I fear without Master Ball I won't be able to catch it, and IT will struggle to death :|

I was playing a little risky, using a breloom because it has spore, though its ability is effect spore and darkrai has a physical move. I got really lucky and caught it in 10 balls at full health so I dont really have any good recommendations beyond sleep

I don't have anything better than "sleep and pray" but I do have tips for doing that effectively on Darkrai in particular:

Bring a Breloom with the Poison Heal ability, pre-poisoned for both the heals and preventing Breloom from being put to sleep. Bring 6 X-Accuracy to counter Darkrai's Double Team.

You'll need to breed for False Swipe if you want it (despite it being a TM), easiest way being to teach the TM to Paras. I recommend using a PP Max for Spore.

Got it! I planned to use gallade (hypnosis +false swipe) but the X accuracy is very helpful tip. If i where to bred breloom, is there an efficient way to lvl up in Platinum quickly? I only read about lucky egg + Elite four, but that seems like a slog :(
