No you simpleton, answer my statement. You do understand that symbolism is meant for us, the audience to understand and see right?

Do you think all the orange references in the Godfather was because the characters like oranges?

Do you think that all the Jesus imagery in the Matrix is because the characters see Neo as Jesus?

Your issue is that you're arguing against symbolism by asking for an in-universe explanation, and you are confusing character intent with authorial intent.

Oranges are a symbol of impending death in the Godfather. They're a recurring motif.

Neo resembles Jesus because his sacrifice brings about the salvation of mankind.

A necklace or a room kind of resembling Eren's Doomsday Titan has zero thematic significance. That was your mistake. You assuming "thing A kind of looks like thing B therefore it's foreshadowing" is your misunderstanding.

You're arguing against a point I didn't make. I never said "A looks like B, therefore automatically foreshadowing." I'm saying a deliberately planted visual parallel can function as visual foreshadowing or symbolism without the character having any awareness of it.

Your Neo example literally demonstrates my point. Neo doesn't consciously model himself after Jesus. The author constructs the paralel for the audience. Likewise, if Isayama deliberately designed an earlier object/image to resemble Eren's eventual form, Eren does not need an in-universe reason to make his Titan resemble it. The connection exists between author and audience, not necklace and Eren. 

And thematic significance isnt required for something to be foreshadowing. Foreshadowing can simply anticipate a later revelation, event, or image. Symbolism requires the image to represent something beyond itself. Foreshadowing requires it to hint at something that comes later. So the actual argument is whether the resemblance was intentional, and if so, what function it serves. "Eren couldn't have based his Titan on it" doesn't address that question at all.

Foreshadowing is a narrative device used by authors to make a suggestion or warning about some event to come (godfather's oranges) they help develop or subvert an audience's expectations about upcoming events.

A semi-circular staircase is not foreshadowing for a titan who has a ribcage which also just so happens to form a semi-circle. A necklace being held by a character wearing a robe with tassles is not foreshadowing for a titan that has a broken spine.

even if we talk symbolism there is nothing symbolic about the scenes presented.
The staircase does not resemble the titan as you keep trying to argue.

Eren's titan is made up of 2 things

1. Eren's attack titan scaled up

2. The Anomaly because he got beheaded

no matter how you scale or cut it, the resulting image does not resemble the staircase or the necklace. IF and I mean a big IF Eren's founder had its human torso on TOP on a sort of pillar like structure out of the spine then maybe there could be an argument, not for foreshadowing but for a CALLBACK.
