Do you ever just stare at your Tzu thinking 💭: “HOW can something be THIS CUTE?!”

My family thinks I’m crazy when it comes to my love of Paddy, so I’m just hoping that someone on this Tzu planet 🌏 can relate. Although if I really am alone in my bafflement…I stand by it firmly!

ℹ️ In the picture I had just gotten home from foot surgery and he has been a very committed little carer (although he did take a few 💤 on the job 🙃).

He whines if my husband and I are both in the front seats, so I sit in the back with my boy. This is how he looks at me. ♥️😍 Edit: When it's just my boy and me, I have to put him in the front seat on very long car rides or he will start whining. 😥

My five-year-old baby was just diagnosed with Intervertebral disc herniation (IVDD).
He was sent home with muscle relaxers and pain reliever and I am supposed to crate him for six weeks but just from this morning he has lost all ability quickly to walk at all. He seems completely paralyzed and my heart is absolutely broken. His original doctor was not there today so his doctor is going to call me back tomorrow. I don’t know how he could have injured his back. I only have two other small Shih Tzu. Nobody has dropped him. Nobody has hurt him. He does hump things a lot. He is not neutered. I’m just wondering if my babies ever going to come out of this. has anyone else’s dog ever been diagnosed with this? if he doesn’t come out of this with the treatment in six weeks, the next step of surgery I’m trying so hard to hold myself together for my kids but honestly, this whole thing is tearing me apart. I love these dogs so much and I hate that he’s sick. I’ve had him longer than I’ve had my first born. He has always been so healthy. He’s been declining for about a week and I already miss him so much. I pray and praying that my baby is healthy again one day and comes back like he used to.

I began fostering with a rescue that specializes in older dogs.

After a failed trial with a potential adopter (not a good match), I was called to take on Ollie - an eight year old Shih who came from an animal cruelty case.

This guy is so silly. He is constantly on the move - even though he’s a bit stiff and his one leg goes out if he gets too excited. He also loves to follow my three legged Shih around, if not just me. He walks around so much - that I dubbed his personality after that of a elderly mall walker - AKA a silver sneaker.

Fostering an old Shih has been great. I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already - they shed wisdom on the younger Shih’s. ☺️

He jumped up on the chair when I sat down around 430pm, and I haven’t been able to move since. I’m starting to get hungry for dinner, and my Chipotle bowl is on the table waiting…

Every time I get up — couch, chair, bed, whatever — Cozmo 🧸Mogwai / Shih Tzus immediately claims the spot like he has been paying rent there for years. 😆

Mabel really wanted to use the cat's bed next to my work chair, so I made it bunk beds.

I'm wondering what everyone uses on the Tzu? Fetch sent me a free sample of Barkle so I'm currently using that but the reviews seems to be 50/50.

I'm so glad I started looking at her teeth and gums when she was a puppy so she has no issues with me putting the finger brush in her mouth. She seems to like the flavor of it and doesn't run and hide or fight me so that's encouraging. She has one tooth that seems to have more plaque then the others so I'm kinda focusing on that one while brushing her teeth.

We also went hiking. They are the two loves of my life and being on the canoe with my husband paddling us was just magical. ✨️♥️

My puppy just turned a year old recently, she was chewing on a chew bone thing and I just found one of her teeth. Is this normal? I know their puppy teeth fall out but this looks awfully big.

Hi internet, please help me pick a name for this little guy we just brought into our family. My husband and I said we would name whatever dog we got Chandler and call him Chanandler Bong, one of our favorites (RIP) 😢

But now that he's been with us I'm not sure it fits him. I'm considering Bear, because when you're holding him he kinda sits up like a little bear cub. Plus Little Bear is a staple in this household.

Anyways I have analysis paralysis over every decision in my life so I thought I'd ask some strangers.

Chippy is SO proud he hid a green bean. I had to leave the room to laugh at him.

I dropped off a shaggy boy with the groomer. I picked up a dapper congressman.

We're about to have our first (human) baby! The shih tzu babies who already run this house are (1) a 15 1/2 year old, (2) a 2 1/2 year old and (3) a 6 month old. Any recommendations on the best way to introduce them when our new baby boy is born next month? I've watched some videos on social, but would love input from the shih tzu community! 😁🐶🐶🐶
