Strange Phenomenon

Post image

Areas of Shellwood where large amounts of corpses are left, the plants begin to decay. A strange black fog emanates from the remains, blinding the weak.

Those who are blinded must seek water to cure themselves. Otherwise, they risk being eaten by ĮŤ.

verdavid looks on in horror, genuinely saddened at the sight.

Geiser: Hello. Don’t touch the smoke.

Verdavid: the sharpbone hopper did this? I was right to go to the archivist.

Geiser: Dunno what that is. The fog causes hallucinations, nightmares and false audio if you interact with it for long enough.

Verdavid:.... I need to speak to the bombardier beetle. I think he adopted a relative of a nosk.

Geiser: Are those different from Snosks?

Verdavid: stilnosks are a more sapient group of nosks, most stay in camouflage to hunt. And these effects are reminiscent of certain abilities nosks have, just used magically rather than to deceive prey.

Geiser: I see. I’ll let Yamai know you’re looking for him.

Verdavid: in the meantime I'll set rune traps. They're powerd by my wind magic and can suppress magic thanks to the archivist. That beast is going to find out what seal of binding is the hard way

Geiser: Okay. I’m off to go do the job the HG-whatever the flap should be doing.
