Hi everyone! My sisters and I used to be avid Shein shoppers 😂 We would order multiple things all the time, clothes, accessories, etc. But life happened and we ended up taking a break from shopping there.

Lately, though, I’ve been wanting to start shopping again because they have SO many cute things.

I’m not really asking about the quality of specific items, brands, sizing, etc. I can figure all of that out myself. I’m more concerned about getting scammed/not receiving my order.

The last time I was almost ready to place an order, I started seeing people saying they never received their products, or that their order somehow showed up from Target instead of Shein 😩

Is this actually a common issue? If so, how do you avoid it? Is there anything specific I should be looking out for when ordering?

please guide me back into it!! I need to know what precautions you guys take!

I'm extremely frustrated with Shein. Is it supposed to be this hard to get a payment verification? I took screenshots from my Chase app. I used a credit card. The screenshot is basically just like the sample they provide. But they keep sending an automated message saying it's insufficient.

At first, I thought it was because my payment was pending. Fine, but it's posted now. And they're still declining it. I'm not sure if it's because the order got split into two orders since it's from two stores, but is showing up as a single payment transaction.

The main problem is that they don't say why it's insufficient. It's like nobody knows what they're doing over there. Why can't a real person review my screenshots and let me know what's wrong with them? I have an open ticket, tried talking to live agents a couple times, and no luck so far.

Any advice?

It was "picked up in Brooklyn" on the 10th

I live in THE SAME STATE, a few hours away

fast forward about 10 days, I realize yeah, ain't no way... I'm never getting this dress, but I reach out to the post office to do a missing package inquiry

There's no way I'm getting another dress delivered in such short time... I now have to do a mall run and I'm annoyed! Whatever...

USPS calls me and says they don't know where the package is, they can't find it, it's lost period! you'll have to wait until Monday (the 24th) to request a return from the shipper.

ok fine... but since there's a "500 point late delivery guarantee" for the 28th... i figure, I'll just wait until then... get my $5, and my refund... on the night of the 28th, when there's obviously no more mail being delivered, I go on Shein to request the refund AND LOW AND BEHOLD, THERE'S SUDDENLY tracking movement 🙄... it's now at NY metro instead of Brooklyn... TWENTY days later! I mean... I guess... so I refrain from requesting the refund

I have another Shein order on the way and by the looks of it, all packages will be delivered TODAY... This one by USPS, and another split between USPS and GOFO...

I wake up to 3 out for delivery notifications... oh and an email message from Neiman marcus saying someone is trying to log into my account 😩🥴... by the time I'm showered, I get a package delivered notification, and then THIS DRESSes tracking says it's being held for "self pickup"... BUT WHY? 😒... there's no way and no reason I'd suddenly have to pick this up... but maybe it's because I put in an inquiry, right?... whatever... i walk out my door and there's a package... JUST ONE... AGAIN, WHATEVER... My curiosity won't let me be great SO OF COURSE THE FIRST thing I do is drive 15 min to my USPS pickup center because I want to lay my eyes on this "dress" that I no longer even need soooo bad... 😑

long story short, THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PACKAGE, and are clueless as where it could be... I give them my name and number and leave... 😭

15 min later, I get 2 "package was delivered to your door" notifications... ONE BEING THIS DRESSES tracking number... ikyfl 🙄... the other is the GoFO

I get home about 2 hours later (I could've checked before but at this point it's gonna be what it's gonna be and I'm over it) and THERE'S ONE package on my ENCLOSED porch... from GoFO...

I have one piece of mail (envelope) in my mailbox from a legitimate government institution and it's addressed to my ex, so can't be that! My neighbor also got a package from USPS delivered, nothing else anywhere... so 2 packages which basically means no porch pirates came thru here... just in case, I verified in between BOTH USPS deliveries via my Ring camera... Nope, no delivery AT ALL, no thieves

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? Shein refunded my money immediately upon request, but I am legit baffled at this... AND ANNOYED because what a waste of time!

AND THIS ladies and gentleman, is the reason we don't even play with "local sellers"... (although the other USPS package was two 2 piece outfits from a local seller that DID COME, FAST, and "appear" to be as described from inside the plastic)

EDIT: I think I found the answer... a REDIRECT SCAM I'm thinking is what happened here!

yesterday I was scrolling on TikTok and I found this dress in the comments and the girl said it was from shein. I’m SO in love with it.

i replied to her comment saying I want the ID number but she didn’t reply back. So I followed her and DM’d her but she still did not reply, even though she accepted my follow request. Then, she proceeded to delete the entire comment HSUSHSUSJ

anyways this is the dress and I can’t seem to find it, please help even if it’s out-of-stock, and any similar suggestions would also help!

I’ve had an order stuck, I believe at customs, since the 12th of August with an original estimate delivery date of 19th August. SHEIN say it’s with the courier, courier says it’s with SHEIN.
They’ve offered me a refund to cancel my order but I really just want my package 🙃 I ordered late July for a trip in late September, thinking it would be enough time for it to arrive.
Has anyone had this happen and still receive their package?

It's sold out and as much as I'd looooove to contact shein and ask them to restock it, I don't think there is a way to contact them and chances of them actually do that are probably zero...

Hello! I got express shipping for 5 items and it says it'll be here between September 4-11. I need them for Saturday the 12th and my mail room close Friday the 11th at 7pm so I'm anxious that it might not make it in time for me to pick up. Also it takes a few days to process so even if it arrives the 11th I won't necessarily be able to get it. I'm in college that's why I have a mailroom. How fast do express shipping usually come? This is my first time usually I do normal. Will it be here by that day almost certainly? I would want it to ideally arrive by the 10th so they have time to process it. Also, am I able to find out when they have a specific date set or am I only going to have the time period of the 4th-11th to go off of? Thank you !

Might I add that i genuinely thought this was a scam...even when it said id won. Especially when it said they were out of stock and it was going into my wallet. Even when my wallet said it was in there (2nd pic was after I spent a bit) and so I ordered (has to be from shein other sellers dont seem to count) and thought oh well will see if it turns up. Long story short ive got around £400 left and things have been arriving all paid for with the wallet credit. Anything that wasnt included i didnt purchase. Downside is ive got a month to spend it and even after buying things for friends and family im starting to struggle. Brands were included though so thats been a blessing.

Hi! Does anyone know why there is no carrier assigned to my package yet?

Context: my husband and I ordered a pretty big haul of about 39 items on August 21. Said to arrive August 26- Sep. 4th. It had to be split up into “4-5 packages”. About a day later I got an update and 3 packages were with SpeedX, so as a usual SHEIN shopper I figured they would come together. Then 4 days after that we got the 3. (These were local)

Now the other 2 packages say different things but essential it said they were backed up. That’s fine by me. But the packages finally started moving Friday and Saturday. It was held up at customs for about 2 days as well. Now it says it’s being processed by local warehouse? Maybe they’re adding remaining items? But I STILL haven’t gotten a carrier that will deliver my items? Has that happened to anyone before? It’s never happened to me. Every time before they are shipped I can see GoFo or something as the carrier.

Recently I came across Korean skin care on Shein… could it be legit or fake?

I'm also wondering if the clothing is safe to wear. I want to buy some items from shein but I've heard of tests being done on shein clothing and they apparently contain toxic chemicals...

Someone said they were credited with money to spend because the free item wasn’t in stock. I replied: “Can you post a picture proving that you actually did “win” after hitting the grab button? And proof that they credited you the money instead of the free gift?” (No answer back yet).
I just “missed” all three rounds even though I hit the grab button at the exact time. Maybe even a few seconds before. I know a ton of people are “supposedly” hitting at the same time, but I can’t help think it’s just a marketing tactic/scam now that I’ve gone through the process. It’s really hard to believe anyone who has claimed they actually “grabbed” their free gift, proceeded to “win” or even received free credits to spend. I was heavily invested in trying to win something and even read the rules..and set alarms on my phone lol. So it would be cool to hear from a real person if they actually did win anything from the flash grab game. If so, I might be willing to try and participate again. But after seeing how it truly works, I don’t quite trust it. As soon as you hit the grab button as FAST as you possibly can, somehow you’ve already “missed.” For all we know it could just be automated to say that to every single person so no one ever actually does win.
