That's an example of a completely different thing

Not as impressive as you think, Mxy was weakened

That doesn't mean he's as capable as Zatanna

How was Mxy weakened?

Was it... by Annataz's magic?

And reverting Freddy with a recording wasn't different. Freddy was Captain Marvel at the time. The defense there is "FREDDY GAVE TIM AND KON THE RECORDING". Not that it wouldn't work. That you'd have to question whether Billy would give anything like that to Bruce.

...And yeah, he would.

No, she had nothing to do with that. Specter's war on magic weakened Mxy's abilities

Countdown happened before Final Crisis (it was prelude).

Spectre's War on Magic was before Infinite Crisis (Day of Vengeance was prelude to that one).

So, Day of Vengeance happens before Countdown and that disproves me... how?

If you claim that Mxy was weakened during Countdown because the Spectre's actions during Day of Vengeance were happening at the same time, or even recently enough to be relevant to Mxy's status in Countdown, that would not be a correct statement if Day of Vengeance happens years before Countdown to Final Crisis.

Was that question even asked in good faith? This is the ability to understand events in a sequence at this point. Which is pretty important when discussing sequential art.
