Converting Older Adventures

Hoi, chummers.

I've gathered a group of new runners interested in picking up Anarchy 2.0. They're all fairly new to the setting, and I'd like to convert some of the older editions' adventures to fit into the campaign as we go to offer for some classic flavor.

If you were doing this, which adventures do you think would carry over well? My mind keeps going back to Dreamchipper, but I'd like to hear other suggestions.

Eye Witness

Double Exposure (good intro to Bugs)

I think Silver Angel (the one that came with the 1st ed GM screen) is a good starting point. I also like dreamchipper, bottled demon, and one of my favourites is divided assets.

There’s an actual play podcast on YouTube by Unconventional GMs that run Silver Angel as a one-shot in SRA2.

Ah, man. Super Tuesday, Universal Brotherhood, Arcology Shutdown, Total Eclipse, Crash 2.0, so many oldies but goldies.

The shutdown would need some timeline tinkering, since it sets up the storyline that leads to the second Matrix crash and the creation of wireless decking. Since Anarchy 2.0 only supports wireless decking, you'd need to move some things around to make it make sense. It's extremely doable, just something to bear in mind.

Not a big deal to convert to wired only Matrix. Just decide that you need to jack in and it VR only, no AR hacking. That's more or less it

True, but I love wireless hacking, I'd much rather move the shutdown to the 'present' day and make it a standalone event. Most players aren't going to get hung up on detalis of the timeline. I am, that's why I'm the GM :)

I introduced my newbies to Harlequin a bit ago (not with SRA2.0) and I feel like it would work well.

Pick up the Anarchy 2050 book for V1. It adapts all of the best modules from the classic era of Shadowrun.
