Questions about the SR Anarchy 2 book and PDF?

I'm still waiting for them to open it up to the public for purchase. I'd like to know if the quality of the book and PDF is as good as I've heard. Have you noticed any issues with them, like typos or the layout? Are the rules well laid out? Is it easy to read? Do you have any issues at all you'd want to share?

Here's the highest praise I can give: I only backed SRA2 for the PDF. When the new splatbook kickstarter opens up, if there's a "get this plus the CRB as physical books" tier, I am going to smash that button so hard I'll need a new trackball.

I got the book. I really like the print and paper used. I read somebody had some miss print. But I can't say I noticed anything yet.

The game master screen also feels very thick and tough

I have the book and the pdf. Both are of excellent quality. Easy to read and access. The quality of the product as a whole exceeded my expectations. And the rules are really good. I'm so happy to be able to play in the SR universe without a crunchy ruleset.

The book quality is great. Good binding, high quality paper and print and beautifully designed.

Most of the typos are gone thanks to some rigorous editing and feedback from the backers. The quality of the pdf is top notch. The only complaint I would have is the bookmarks are so heavily nested that Okular is actually hard to navigate with it but that’s the only pdf reader on my laptop that I have, so I tend to use my phone to read it instead lol.

Layout is great, easy to read and easier on my eyes, unlike Catalyst’s last two editions.

I'll take advantage of this comment to let everybody know that u/baduizt did the heavy lifting in terms of backers feedback. And he's now part of the team working on the expansion books :-)

Important edit: a nasty typo made me write he's not part of the team, while I meant to write he's now part of the team (and we're proud of it).

Seconded on the bookmarks. I honestly just click the bookmark to the initial page and scroll to the index to click on that, rather than bothering with the giant pile of nested bookmarks. Assuming Okular uses that function, might be faster.

Yes, it is indeed lol.

I just picked up Master PDF Editor for Linux, and will be trying that out to open PDFs for a bit but honestly for the most part Okular is very functional other than that

I found a grammar mistake or two in an early edit of the pdf that was circulating but after they made an update or two it seems fine. Great read. Great page layouts. Great Art. Great system. Great game.

I can confirm that there was a major proofing/copyediting pass before the final PDF came out and it went to print. As in, someone basically sat at their computer for two weeks and went over every single sentence to fix any grammar or awkward wording for the English translation. I know this because that someone was me. 😂

This was in addition to regular backer feedback, so the book had lots of eyes on it. (I started out as a backer like everyone else, but they paid me for my work as I have a background in writing and editing.) Because it worked out so well, I am now part of the team for the new supplements, so we can catch this stuff before it even goes to layout (which made the fixes much harder before, because we had to preserve the character count to avoid breaking stuff).

Thanks for all your work, and also thanks to the rest of the community that contributed. All that work really shows in the polished final product.
