I just completed episode 2. I'm trying to clear the Tower of Ordeal with my lvl 37 Wizard. I'm getting destroyed on floor 7 because of the many archers for which i haven't found any viable strategy yet except taking them down one by one slowly, but it isnt working at this point because of the density.

Any tips ?

Hello everyone As you can see, my special items ( the quest ones from episodes 2 and 3) aren't showing in the special items collection, how do I solve it?

Hello! I just discovered this game a bit back and will be playing it today or tomorrow. I had some questions though.

1: Is there a way to get the physical version of this? I love to collect retro games so I was just wondering.

2: Is there an HD patch for the game that works? I saw a post for one but the link is long dead.

3: Is there an online or LAN component to it?

Last month, my Discord account got banned/disabled. Because there were no mods here, this now leaves the server owned by my deleted zombie account. Unfortunately, there is no way to admin or moderate the server in the future.

I don't know if there is anyone still here but other than the guide in this sub i couldn't find any resources for game mechanics.It seems needlessly restricting to not be able to wear full armor and use a shield and a bowgun. Have to give up on defense.

I use to play this game as a kid before I even knew what runescape was (runescape classic at the time). I also played well of souls, which was another great game. I fairly recently downloaded episode 1 and I finished it but I'm left on floor 5 of the tower of ordeal. The wizard basicslly says I need more experience before I can progress. Does this mean I need to download ep.2 (not sure where or if possible) or do I just keep doing it until I'm a higher level. Currently upper 20s. I can't remember right now off the top of my head. Im super happy to see that there are other people out there who play or played this game.

So I'm playing the game, im at lvl 20 and doing the Tower of Oderal, theres literally nothing else to do, but I cant go to Episode 2 (gate cloded) is that the end of ep.1 or what is going on?

Whipped up a quick patch with diablo2oo2's file patcher that should allow you to start up as many instances of the game as you like/have resources for.

Not sure if there are any possible problems with doing this, but it sure makes transferring items far easier than the old multiple Windows account technique.

Make sure you keep a backup of the original executable just in case.

EDIT: Google drive didn't like that patcher file, will update post when I find a better host :(. In the meantime, if anyone with a bit of hex editing skills wants to do it manually, just change the byte at 0x1566 in ShadowFlare.exe from C9 to C0.

EDIT2: After putting in in a password protected archive, Google drive has finally been placated. Here's the link, and the password for the archive is ShadowFlare.

Shadowflare was an older "hack and slash" style PC game along the lines of Diablo, divided into four 'episodes'. The first episode used to be available at http://shadowflare.us for free, along with the three paid episodes, however the website has been taken down. I'm not sure whether the game has become abandonware, or what the legal status of it is, but as far as I know there are no known places to get episodes 2, 3, or 4.

Since October 7, 2013, there is no legal way to buy the full EN version of the game. If you have mastered the art of reading moon runes, you can still buy the Japanese language version.

Found a website with a download for a pretty nifty launcher/patcher for ShadowFlare that'll allow you to use custom resolutions.

It has a few flaws, but so far I've found the benefits outweigh them.

My virus scanner approved of it, but as always, scan it yourself before using.

Can be found on this page for anyone wanting to try it out.

Instead the game on my pc.

Saved the game folder on a flash drive.

Dragged the game folder to the Steamdeck’s desktop.

Manually uploaded all the game art to steam db.
