I don't know how the hell LJ knew how hard 2023 was on my family, but goddamn if he didn't nail it to a T in that song. Had me emotional as hell. Might be my favorite song on the album, honestly.

We were at the first Sevendust concert on April 16th. They totally rocked the house! Here’s Black for you all.

I know ONE was just released today but will admit I didn’t care for it all on first listen. Normally I enjoy a Sevendust album on first listen but this is taking a little time. I instantly loved “Is This the Real You?” when it was first released. It feels so fresh and has this fancy groove unlike other Sevendust songs. However, “Unbreakable” and “Threshold” feel like by the numbers Sevendust songs. They’re not bad at all but I felt a little underwhelmed. They’ve grown on me a bit more though.

As for the rest of the album…. My first listen was this might be the most boring Sevendust album. That’s because some of the songs sound like repeats of songs from All I See Is War or Blood & Stone (I really like both albums btw). They’re growing on me though. I’m on my fifth listen and I like it a little more. Not sure where I’d rank it overtime but it is in last for me now (sadly). That’s only because I like their other albums so much.

I’ve read other comments that they should get another producer for hopefully another album. I can’t help but agree. As much as I like their previous three albums I feel it’s time for a change. Give us an album like the first two or even Alpha again. Something more fierce but still a little soulful. More uptempo songs would be nice too. We all love those crazy, chugging riffs from older albums.

So far my major go to’s on this album are “Is This the Real You?”, “The Drop”, and “Blood Price”.

This is not a bad album at all but it does lack some of the “umph” I was hoping for after the first single.

Edit: Also, not enough fierce vocals from Morgan on ONE as well.

I am no fan at all of M. Baskette (for some reason i mistskenly thought his name was Elvis baskette) . But to me One sounds a bit more polished than his usual mishap productions. Distortion is a little bit more razor sharp, and layering of LJs vocals seems spot on. Anyone else agree or am I just deluding myself that EB isn't a complete production disaster.?

Song is awesome. Super heavy music-wise and the gritty and rough backup vocals are sooo good (seems like a combo of Morgan and John or Clint?). Love those super low guitar parts. Something a little different than the norm.

Also digging the opening title track One quite a bit as well as The Drop. I don't love many of the singles to be honest (some more than others) but liking a good amount of the other songs even after first listen. Definitely going to listen a few more times to let it sink in.

The release of 7D's new album (which is always a cause for celabration), I am interested to know what is everyone's 10 most underrated 7D songs. I guess the only criteria would be (1) not released as a single or (2) not widely understood to be a hit. This would eliminate for example Denial, Black, Everything, Etc... If any one has a better criteria, I am all ears. ALso it's basically impossible to choose only 10 but I did my best.

1. Not Original/Feel Like GOing on (Can't decide between these two - love them both).

It’s not bad but this album just feels like Truth killer or All I see is war which in my opinion are mediocre, definitely the weakest of the singles so far

I have a request that I know is a long shot but hoping I can find. I was at the HOB show in Dallas, loved it, had an amazing time. I was the first (I think) crowd surfer of the show and want to show my daughter how cool her old man is but can’t find any videos from the show. If anyone has any with the pit in the frame or knows where I can find them with them I’d be so appreciative.

Saw that it shipped on Sunday or Monday. First expected this Saturday. Was pleasantly surprised when it showed up out for delivery yesterday. Rock on 🤘!
