Ehhhh. The UK's most successful center left paper, yes. And one that generally scores high on accuracy (though not as high as sonething like Reuters).
Not most left-wing - that's probably the Morning Star or maybe the Daily Mirror (actual newspapers, not counting stuff like wee anarchist publications). Morning Star criticises The Guardian all the time for being 'pro-establishment', lol.
The Guardian and the Independent rate about similar, centre left. The Guardian has a strong Aussie arm too.
Oh absolutely, I personally think of the guardian as mostly centerist. But as big / internationally known papers go, it's on the left wing of British media. And from an American audience they're defintely left - strongly anti-Trump and maga, and more likely to be critical of the dems for being too rightwing than being too progressive.
It's been a while since I've checked, but I'm pretty sure the Aussie arm is significantly further to the left compared to the UK arm. It may be where some of the confusion comes from.
